When I first started playing, there was no "exit" button in the nav bar when you finished a mission, just green text that you could click to get off of a map. I, however, did not know this. So I spent about the first month or so running back to the door of every mission to leave. Finally one day Phantom asked me why it took me so long to load out of a mission, and I told him it was because some maps were longer than others, especially the Oranbega maps. He then mocked me mercilessly and told me about the green text. >.>

I was going to add "you tagged me all night long" to the list, but this post has reached the maximum amount of tags a post can have. I'm both sad (because I can't add mine) and proud. Justice never disappoints.

I'm really only concerned with getting Master of badges with my main hero - Arwen Darkblade, level 50 Claws/Invuln Scrapper. Though I'd like to do MoRSF with my main villain - Agent 93, level 50 Bots/Traps MM. I'd be more than happy to help with other runs on my support characters (and I have bunch) in exchange for helping my badgers out. Arwen has MoSTF, thanks mostly to Brax who set up teams for months trying to help me and pushing me to not give up when it became tedious.

I haven't heard anything about double XP with I16. Where did you hear or read about this?

Quote:I never knew that was the reason. Thank you for answering my question! This happened when they added the ragdoll physics to the game. All of the magic store signs were replaced with a new version that could swing if you bumped into it. Previously the signs for the two magic stores had slightly different dimensions but only one size was made for the new swingin' version. Instead of reworking the textures for both shops, they apparently decided to give Tabitha the boot instead.
She now lives in a hollowed-out tree trunk in Croatoa with a pet pumpkin.
It's disappointing, as I liked the Tabitha Fabish name. -

There used to be different names for the DO and SO stores on the hero side in Paragon City. For instance, the mutant DO store is Subgenetics, and the mutant SO store is Biotechnix.
The magic DO store used to be Pandora's Box, and the SO store was Tabitha Fabish. But now they're both Pandora's Box. Why?
Tabitha Fabish and a cute whimsy about it, and sounded like the nutty old Witch you'd go to for all your magical needs. I liked it a lot, and miss it being in game.
So why is it gone? And is it going to be changed back?
I imagine this happened when all the magic stores were turned into El Super Mexicanos back a few issues ago. -
Just checked and my characters transferred over! And I was able to log in, so everything seems like it's up and running.
-
I was able to play this morning. Haven't tried in a while. Tried copying characters over again, but haven't checked to see if it's working or not. I searched the forums and couldn't find a red name response about this.

Put me down as a maybe. I'm not sure if I'll be around this weekend or not.

I have been waiting nearly an hour for some characters to transfer. Is the system down, or just running really slowly?

Quote:I couldn't agree more. Thank you for summing this up so nicely and honestly.I'm sure this is a paraphrase of several posts so far, but here's my 0.02. I'm not trying to sneakily call anyone out, here:
I find long-time players who cling to rigid play styles far, far more annoying than new players who simply don't understand how things work out of sheer inexperience. People lording their vet badges or the fact they were in the CoH beta as some kind of symbol of their deeper understanding of or special entitlement to the game irritate me far, far more than a dozen blind invites to AE farms ever could. New players will always be able to overcome inexperience, but plain obliviousness in more veteran player is more likely to linger. Offending the delicate sensibilities of players because you don't understand the etiquette and culture of the game or server is far more tolerable than the small number of insufferable veteran twits with their inflated sense of entitlement. And don't even get me started about the difference in new/old players and starting and perpetuating ******** drama. Not many new players on trial accounts baiting people with accusations of elitism or power trips over channel migrations, now are there?
It's not a very professional saying, but I'm often reminded of the saying, "Ignorance can be cured, but stupid lasts forever."

As for me, I always try to help out new players either by giving them influence/infamy, answering questions, giving them a tour, helping them cross zones they could easily be killed in. Players keep this game going, and new ones should never be discouraged. -
I try not to eat at my computer desk, as it's just too risky to ruin a keyboard or spill something. But, when I do eat and play, I like things like pretzels or veggies with dip and some iced tea. Not that I don't enjoy pizza, but the thought of having it near my desk or keyboard makes me want to clean something.
