Quote:I agree on both counts.I can't tell you how much this cheer's me up (something I desperately need atm). My suggestion is to check out the "Recommendations For Dev's Choice" thread towards the top of this forum since it contains most of what you are looking for already. Thanks Dev Team!
WN
It seems like a good idea to consider arcs from the previous recommendation thread as well as arcs posted here. I don't see it at the top, so here is the link:

Also, thanks to the Dev Team for this! -
You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and my prayers.

I played this arc because it was an entry in Trekkin's monthly arc contests. It was well written, had a good story and had very nice customs.
It is labeled heroic, but I would classify it as vigilante. If you are looking for a vigilante type arc that is fun to play, this is a very good choice. -

I found this arc in a thread from Talen Lee. It was well written and fun to play. I enjoyed the small bits of humor mixed in the arc.
If you are looking for a mid-level villainous arc that is fun to play this is a good choice. -
Quote:Thanks. I agree it is clear that as of now Victor is invalid. It explecity said that 'Victor' was not allowed and on the list in the error messega. That is why I changed my vampire bride 'Victoria' to 'Katherine'. It is farfetched to have a name like this in the filter. I am sure as hell not going to make a mob of Dr. Doom bots and calling them all 'Victor'! :S
My real question is ultimately do the CoH powers that be view Victor as invalid?
If not, I don't feel it is worth the time and effort to change the arc. I feel this way because I would rather use my spare time doing something fun instead of reacting to something that will ultimately be fixed. -
Quote:Thank you so much.I just wanted to stop by and thank everyone for their work on putting together this list and the love that's obviously been poured into many of these arcs. I recently made a character with the intent of leveling them up solely through MA, just to see what other players had come up with, and I have been delighted and entertained non-stop for the past two days. I've been having so much fun, in fact, that I brought my friends and even a few strangers along with me on some of them.
This is a fantastic resource and I really appreciate having access to it.
I was caught up in fixing my arcs for the recent filter patch and this is the first chance I had to get back to this thread. -
I was able to get two of my three unplayable arcs back to playable. Doing so took a lot of time and effort.
One of these two arcs, got a bad rating while it was unplayable which knocked down its overall rating. If the person who rated it does not read the boards, I can't really blame them. What would you rate an arc that kicked you out the moment you clicked on the door?
I have two remaining issues:
- Wolf Spider Huntsman from the standard Arachnos is marked as copyrighted/profane
- A custom character of mine named Victor is marked as copyrighted/profane
I have seen some earlier posts that indicate Victor is a problem. While I am aware there is a Victor von Doom, my Victor has nothing to do with that Victor.
I could change my Victor to something else but my take on this issue is that we should only change our arcs if they truly violate copyright or they are profane.
I am not sure if the answer is buried in this thread, but does anyone know if Victor is on the list of mistakenly flagged names or is all use of Victor deemed taboo? -
Quote:Thanks for the update. The Statesman fix worked, but one of my custom group names is marked invalid.Hey everyone,
This mornings patch will have correctly updated the profanity filter for Mission Architect. Some examples of words that were not previously working that are now working are:
Spider, Paragon, Lord Recluse, Magnetic, Longbow, Guardian, Bride, Acrobatics, flame, Castle, Manticore, Sister Psyche, Statesman
Were aware that there are still some other issues with the profanity filter. Please post any other issues that youre having with it and we will look into addressing them as well. Thanks!
I could find no way to actually rename the group, so I created a new one with a new name.
It fails when I try to enter the Arachnos boss Wolf Spider Huntsman (6-10). I think this is a bug.
Oddly I can add and save the minion Wolf Spider. -
Quote:Sadly this is not true. Someone "played" my arc Supression which you can take but not play and rated it. It went from five stars overall to four.If it's any consolation, it's impossible to play, and thus rate, an arc that's currently affected by this, so nobody should be getting any downvotes because of it.
I do like the idea of creating a list of affected arcs, just so that if someone is trying to run one and it refuses to work, they can check here to see if it's because of the filter (and thus not bother to inform the author; they already know). -
Three of my arcs are no longer playable because of this issue. Sadly they are the three that I actually care about.
I started to attempt to fix one because I actually had a character in it which probably should have been renamed. I completely deleted the character from my arc and now I get Statesman flagged as copyright/profane.
This makes no sense to me at all. Should Statesman be flagged? If so I contend that he should not be available to use in building MA arcs. He should either be deleted or renamed by the devs.
I find it wrong that using a standard CoH character should be flagged. I do understand that developers may have other priorities but like others who have posted I feel that the filters should be removed until they can be fixed and tested. -
I had a hero that was flagged which I completely deleted, both from my PC and out of my arc.
After I delete the hero from the arc, it shows no errors, but when I republish it fails with a copyright/profane error. When I go back in the character I deleted is back.
I tried to save locally and test and when I do that after I delete the character it shows 9 text error messages but does not point to where or what. Does anyone know how to find what these errors are or get the arc to save? -

It is a very creative arc with a surreal feel to it.

If you are looking for something different and fun and are open to enjoy a CoH spoof, this is a great choice!
NOTE (see author's description below):
A comedic look at what it 'might' be like to try and get to know our sweet Ms. Liberty a bit better. This is a comedy- not something nasty. *note* This is a SPOOF of COH and a situation. Don't have a seizure when Ms. Liberty says "Uncle Recluse". -

This arc is very well-written. It has good dialog and great bios. It was lots of fun to play on my low level villain. It was challenging enough to be fun, but easy enough to solo. I am not sure if it was by intent, but I earned several MA badges while playing.
