How about some cooler energy aura effects?
-
This is an idea that comes up once every so often, so I wanted to put it out there again. The option to set our mission according to out origin would allow us engage in missions more suited to our backround as well as allow us to more readily collect rewards (DOs, SO, etc) more suited to our needs. If we run into a point where we run out of origin-specific missions, we can at anytime chose to accept mission randomly, with contact acknowledging, "I know you're not a (Insert Origin), but I could sure use your help."

Not really interested in havng a Fury bar, but it would be nice if tank didn't have to deal with that moment of "Hits like a girl" after Rage wears off.

Quote:Well, for what it's worth, here's my list:
1. Too much stale crud, especially hero side.
2. Too many things in the game feel "85% done and forgotten about" or simply plain forgotten about.
3. Related to #2 -- loss of momentum. New things are added (new zones, new mechanisms, new storylines) and then they don't do anything more about it for years. Take, as a very good example, how long it took between the launch of AE and the arrival of Guest Author arcs -- or the way that the dev's choice languished for months.
I see your three and raise you Oroborus. What ever happened to more flash-backs? -
My Shadow/Spirit hybrid is coming and I am waiting to create Ghost Ranger-type.
-
In a word? No.
-
My usual answer is that I keep the flag up because I am looking for a team, but not just any team. I am, "screening my call" of sorts.
-
And then those same people come back and tell their friends how City of Heroes sucks.

Quote:For character theme, it's not neccesarily a huge deal. I've got a few characters with Soul Mastery and one with Leviathan Mastery, and for all of them I just play it off as their own abilities. Making them Patron Pools makes them more entertaining in-game and gives them cooler feels, and for RP purposes you can just write off that arc.
As for the flexibiliy, I agree. Villains are REALLY missing a Fire PPP and there's no sign of getting one because all the patrons are accounted for and none of them use fire. That being said, it wouldn't be too outlandish to add another. Perhaps allow you to use the CoT to get a Baphomet Patron Power Pool that gave you fire powers.
This is the issue I have with PPPs, they are so character Patron-specific, it's hard to weave them into your characters RP. -
I think at some point, this thread stopped talking about the feel of tanks on the way to 50 and how they are at 50. I think when discussions of a certain AT come up, the OP should specify at what level the AT feels lacking.

Quote:In my opinion, no. The overview describes a single enemy who you encounter in both the story arcs in Levels 20-30 and the Positron TF. Which I'll remind you is a TEAM exercise. Therefore, a replicated version of you seems unlikely.
Wouldn't it be sick if they pulled a random villain from each member of a team and created a counter-strick force. -
I hope there are a few more "node changes", like shoulder harnesses and chest emblems being separated.

To begin to speculate, we would have to know if this expansion will be on par with CoV? If we're talking a half-dozen or so new zones along with the graphical updates, it would seem a little disappointing if there were only two new powersets to make this a distinctive expansion. We know this is not intended as a stand-alone game, like CoV was originally intended, but the question is could it?

I do remember reading somewhere that this is something the Devs had on the table.
-
Personally, I think the Devs missed an opportunity to give bases real purpose by not making MA a base feature throught the Mission Computer.
-
I hope this also means Epics will be colorable as well.

All of this is great news, even though I had been against one character being able to bank-roll another without risk, I suppose with the new content, it really doesn't matter that much anymore.
I love the animated tails, but to be honest, I don't want to see animated hair until the character models get a few more pixels. I really dont to see long hair flapping like a solid mass. Now if we could get multiple auras for different hemepheres of the body, that would be great. -
For a few of my characters, it's where Cthulhu lives.
-
While we are at it, knee and elbow pad options are long overdue as well. Not talking Liefield craziness, but something!

Nobody needs a makeove more than Positron! That armor looks like he's flying a bus!
