This is all great stuff, but they don't lend themselves to being broken up into costume "pieces". These would really only be one-piece sets or only used for NCPs.

This game being in good shape or not, it would be foolish to think that no one is considering, if not a new game, a major overhaul of this one for the long-term. Thats just good business sense.

Dang! Well nothing to see here folks. Just a Vet with a little shell-shock!

I got the message at 20 that they were unlocked, but when I went to level, nothing.
-
Just did a respec on a character that already had Epic and they still unlock at 40.
-
Didn't work. I make the perfect character and then this! Im cursed!
-
Ok I have a level 22 Tank on Freedom and no matter how often I log out and log in with another 20 + character, I can't get his EATs to work. I saw that they were unlocked when I hit 20, so whats the deal?

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere, but does anyone know if we'll be able to change our names when we cross over? I mean, it would be pretty silly the have the name Sentinal of Justice or Light of Hope, when your robbing banks and kidnapping people.
-
I really laid on the sugar! Look for the Mtheumer post! I will be expecting a call from the marketing people soon.

I think the problem is the limited number of travel emote options. Fly with different skins othan wings and jetpack. Same powers, but with different looks.

I don't see enhancments as "giving" us more power, but as tools the mages, scientist, and technicians use to modify the power we already have.

Quote:Or body scaling like the males have.David, I understand the concerns about adding an entirely new character model, but what's your take on "faking it," as it were? What I mean is, have you guys considered adding, say, an alternate skin texture that has more muscle definition like what you did for the Male chests (Smooth vs. Muscular)? That in itself would help so much it's difficult to describe.
Additionally, have you considered just retweaking, extending or expanding the sliders? That would help a great deal, as well.
The reason I'm saying this is because I don't believe we need a whole new model, per se. Just a few more specific costume options and other tweaks. The model in itself is fine. The problem with the much-discussed "huge female" is how it scales and what textures we have access to. Those shouldn't need such a massive expenditure of resources.
...
Should they? -
Quote:On the recent chat with the devs, they flat out said no to huge female builds. Not "Possibly in the the future" or "not with the tech we have" they said "No"
Im gonna start frm here with the idea that instead of Huge Female Model, we are given an expanded "scale" tab. Currently, we can change the dimensions of our facial features, why not extend this to the entire body. Currently, we can make our bodies more muscular or less so and taller or shorter. Why not have the ability to make your kneck thicker, or one arm muscular and one thin? Scales for longer or shorter forarms or larger hands would let us make our gorilla characters look more realistic. Scales is the way to go and we already have it in game. -
I know I'll ask about City Vault And Cathedral of Pain so I can be certain not to take up too much time.

Quote:While I understand the idea of telling the player-base that these venues exist (so they can be "friended" and therefore gain more visibility), I very much agree with the sentiment above. Please don't release things on twitter and facebook that I can't find here - I don't have an account on either facebook or twitter and I don't want to. I know I'm missing out on the latest gossip from the Devs, and that really makes me sad, but I am not going to sign up for every social networking site that springs into existence just so I can stay updated on this game. I expect the info to be HERE.
Agreed! Here first! We keep the lights on around here! -
CG adds on TV and previewing in Comic movies.

I have alwas been a fan of expanding craftable weapons and other items. I had hoped IO sets would have some thematic sense when they came, but alas. I would still like to see salvage used to create more temp items.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. People cite technical limitations, but in this case our colour patterns are just tinting masks, so multiples shouldn't require reinventing the wheel. Standard Code Rant obviously applies, but the implementation suggested here is very different from that used in Champions Online, and it is something that has historically had precedent in games like Need For Speed: Underground, where you could have multiple layers of vynils that overlapped each other just fine.
One thing I want to restate about our patterns, however, is that they are just that - simple colour stencils and nothing more. We do not have the ability to layer actual TEXTURES overtop each other, and I feel we should. That would create a LOT of cool effects, such as laying tights overtop armour to give the illusion of a robot wearing "skintight" clothes, or indeed layer armour over skin, to give the illusion of half-armour designs. -

Imagine being chased down by those nasty Quad-Howitzers mounted on tank treads.

It doesn't HAVE to be a suit of armor. Rockslide, a mutant affiliated with the X-Men's junior team is a mutant made of rocks that can disconnect his arms and launch them. Kane, also from Marvel, comes from the same Weapon X program that made Wolverine. He has cybernetic hands that he can launch.
I suppose you could also wield magic gauntlets.
This is all well and good, but it all boils down to how the power looks now doesn't it? Unless the devs make different themed animations for the entire set, it's still going to be Cybornetic (read: Robotic). -

I'd love to see a realistic-size tank (which is bigger than most people imagine), but even the Vanguard mini-tanks will do. It'd be really cool to see them in action, even I didn't get to fight them. Right now, the most we have are the static, parked quads with rocket launchers on them, but I'd really love to see the main gun of a battle tank fire. I don't even want to drive the thing, I just want to see it move with SOME intelligence, and actually engage in fights.
Few months ago, I stood next to an M1 ABRAMS and realized just how friggin huge those damn things are. I gave it a little tug too and it might as well had been Mt. Everest, I couldn't even shake it in the slightest. To think the Hulk rips into them like tin foil, really gives you some perspective.
