How about they sometimes surrender for half xp.
-
I was hoping we would get insp. vendors in the non-Preatorian hospitals. Would make life a little easier.
-
What would need to happen for instanced missions would be a complete remake of mapes specifically for destructibility.
-
Im sure it's all part of the strategy, but this game gives you just enough of everything to make you want to hang around for more.
-
As the title implies, currently as a vigilante, I am still behaving the same way in radio and contact missions as I would a hero. It would be nice to take out a whole building to take out a super-villain.
-
Now that we have costumed Hero and villain NPCs showing up outside Mayhem and Safeguard missions, I think it's time we had more of them. Since this would take alot of Dev time why not have the players submit their own in a monthly contest? This could lead to all-NPC super teams and a better option to constantly fighting organizations filled with endless minions.
-
Now they need to feed the beast. New boosters, zones, costumes, etc. As long as there is a steady stream of new stuff and a full-court-press of advertising, I think we could see numbers like this all the time.
-
Only thing I didnt like was the fact that all my saved costumes were deleted.
-
Good to know they are already talking new zones for Preatoria. That 1 - 20 levels is going to get real crowded, really quick.

I though it looked really cool. I guess having depth is a little too much for most people. I love the idea of this game someday having a true 3-D option. Just another way to really get drawn into the world.

Quote:That's what the mask is for. They can't sue you if they don't know who you are.
I mean really, if a guy tells the cops that are arresting him "Batman beat me up" what cop do you know wouldn't go
or
?
That said, if you see something illegal going on you're allowed to make a citizens arrest (at least in Texas)....assuming you have some way of detaining the individual(s) until the cops arrive.
And of course you'd have to give a report, and depending on the severity of the crime, go to court and testify, etc. Lotta bull$h!t.
What these guys are doing (illegal, crazy, whatever), is kinda cool I think. Stupid, but cool. At least there are people out there willing to do something about a bad situation, instead of stand there and watch/take cell phone pictures and video.
I'd do it myself, but thanks to this game people wouldn't have to look far to find out who I was....(kidding, of course; that's why I'm joining the police academy)
Lets be honest, we wouldn't do it so much for the helping of our fellow man, as much as the opportunity to kick the crap outta someone that really has it coming. Thieves, rapist, child-molesters, and murders seem like the best pray for someone that wanted to hunt people. Like any good hunter, your need to know your pray, know the environment, and any obstacles between you and your target (read: law enforcement). Also like any good hunter, you have to breath, eat, and sleep your passion for the hunt. You are a hunter 24/7 even if that means living in a garbage dumpster for three days for the right moment to strike! Let the cops "find" enough evidence to build a case against your target so they can clean up your mess without leaving anything that could lead back to you. I could go on, but that point is no one is willing to put that much of themselves into the idea to really see it through, because in the end, no matter how careful you are, you will get caught and that is an eventuality that you have to factor in as well. -
Outside of the obvious animations based one magic / tech for blasters, controllers, etc. I think you can find unlimited ideas for animations by cracking open a few comic books. I don't think Marvel or DC have copywrites to how their characters perform an animation.
-
The point is more justifiable on the hero-side because we want to be a part of the forces for good, but on the villain-side, the knowledge that everything you do is under the eye of Arachnos is contrary to the basic ambitions of a villain. It's even worse that just as you flex your own muscles as a force to reckon with, the game is over. I don't see GR resolving this, as it really just puts both sides in an infinite loop with one another.
-
I still think the problem with the Rogues is being tied to Arachnos, it's too stifling. GR, to me, seems a stop-gap measure that gives villains a way to be themselves outside the web.
-
Animations huh? I find that most villains fight on the horizontal plane. I would like to see move fights take place vertically. More flight-born combat, more attacks from the walls and ceilings. More dynamic content (tm).
-
Our falling animation, to me, seems a bit silly. maybe silly isn't the right word, maybe more "odd". I look at flyers in comics and movies, and why they are knocked out of the sky, it's usually not gracefully. This is why I think it would be cool to see a little Ragdoll on being taken out of flight. Lets here what you think?

Here's another:
Cathrine Spector is the current wielder of the Shard of Cthulhu, a mystical amulet said to possess a portion of the essence of one of the mystical God-beings know as the "Great Old Ones". The amulet is an object of great power and is know to corrupt it's user as it did the former wielder Richard Spector, Cathrine's father and the villain know as Old Castro. With strength of will, the shard can be a powerful force for good, and is capable of great feats of healing and even ressurection. There was an incident in 1992 in which Old Castro attempted to open an interdimentional rift between this dimention and that of the Cthulhu himself while under the influence of the Shard. Old Castro battled several powerful mystical heroes. At the height of the battle, Spector regained control of his senses, tore off the amulet and threw himself into the rift, sealing it behind him. To redeem her fathers name and honor his sacrifice, Cathrine has become the Spirit Mistress, Keeper of the Shard of Cthulhu! -
Got one of my older ones:
Larry Sumanga traveled to Africa with the Peace Corp. in hopes of finding the lost tribes of his ancestors. After six months, Sumanga discovered the lost tribe of the M'Banti people. They lived as one with nature and had developed a mystical bond with the creatures of the jungles and plains. Sumanga had found his people and lived among them for several years until one day, returning from the hunt, Sumanga found the village burned to the ground and its people lay dead or missing. He searched the ruins and found the dying chieftain, who told him of the modern men who had come seeking the source of their magics. Upon his death, the chieftain manifested the Mystic Shield of the M'Banti. This native shield of wood and animal skins was a nexus of the spirits of the great beasts of Africa. The shield gave Sumanga the strength of the mighty gorillas and the speed of the Cheetah. The shield also imparted the "Soul of Darkness" giving him the ability to invoke fear in the hearts of men as the African Spirit! -
I wonder if some people even care that this game is about superheroes. Most seem to think it's about xp.

See!!! This all goes to what I have been saying as part of "Dynamic Content (tm)". The various groups should be doing what they are suppose to be doing, where they are supposed to be doing it! You don't see Vanguard hanging out on the street corners, because they have a war to fight, but you do see Rikti in Founders having daiquiris down on the river walk. It's all part of the fact that we are spoon-feed criminals to boost our egos early in our careers, but I feel it's bad practice.

It's a small thing, but I think it would be cool if you could use them to do a name check without logging out.
