  1. Anyone have the link to the US store?
  2. Anti_Proton

    DBServer Error

Im in the EU and can't reach back to the US servers either. Connections are hit or miss.
  3. What I hate about speeds is that leaders think everyone has stealth of Superspeed. Squishies are getting killed just trying to keep up.
  4. Not an anime fan, but you gotta love the cinematography. The high-speed action is the over-th-top stuff you just don't see in western cartoons anymore.
  5. At least PvP is still being discussed.
  6. A big problem I have is lazy mission development where alternate dimensions or even the psychic plane is represented with War Walls.
  7. You know, those open slots aren't gonna fill themselves you know.
  8. How about more MM options.

    Witches
Clown (yeah, yeah, fear of....I know)
    Space Aliens (the grey type)
    Cowboys
    Apes
    Pirates

MMs could be the most diverse powerset in the game.

But there are adjoining zones that could create a corridor around the city. The spaces between a lot of the zones isn't that wide and could be filled with a few extra city blocks.
  10. 68 "Characters" (I put too much work into them to call the "toons") and I still have ner ideas every day, but now many of them are inspiring me to push them to level 50 and beyond.

The Dimensional Grounding Ray removes Reichsman's Untouchable state, and stops him from using his signature abilities Sap Will and Aura of Domination. That's it. It only needs to be used ONCE. Sometimes it won't take effect immediately and you'll have to wait a few seconds after using it to begin the fight, but that one application is all it takes for the whole fight. There's no need to ensure every player gets into the fourth mission to receive a copy of the power and use every charge they have on him.

It also doesn't do anything to stop or cancel his Unstoppable.

So, remember: use it once at the start of the fight, and you're set. Using it more doesn't hurt, but don't be under the impression that it helps anything.

You must have been on my team yesterday when I kept calling for the "Ray". Not so much as to think it has some constant effect, but after 30 minutes of constant assault, people tend to forget to use it, making the entire encounter last that much longer. Like you said, it doesn't hurt to spam it and is better than forgetting to use it all together.

  14. ...or stop it all together for mechanical characters.
  15. I wouldn't be against personal bases, but I would make it a level 50 perk. The reason I say this is because before that, your still a Hero in training.
  16. ...all that is holy, please give us a range/melee option for our pets.

There's a right way and a wrong way to introduce free to play aspects to a preexisting game. A lot of people are looking at recent offerings with a very critical eye these days. There's a lot of things that companies have done well with (personally I respect what LOTRO has accomplished) and some that are missteps that the entire industry will look for ways to improve upon.

It's a personal belief that companies seeking to change their current business model should always do so with their current Communities in mind. Any sort of change should be done so that it gives your veteran (existing) players a show of appreciation and recognition of their support over the years. Yes, the prospect of expanding a Community via F2P is attractive, but the reason they're able to consider such a thing is because of their existing Community.

And this is why I feel F2P is not needed here.

The great thing about Marvel Lore is that the DO make a specific distinction of advance science and real magic.

  19. As long as the the trials themselves lend themselves to some sort of coordination.
  20. " we have gone to the next level with the visual and audio effects for many abilities, as well as their effect in the game. As you wield higher and higher levels of power, you should stand out in a crowd"

This is what I have been waiting for! The visual effects of being more powerful. I hated the fact that AVs and Monsters in the first Mender mission just felt weak, instead of me feeling strong.

  22. This is just another half-finished fix. The Devs let us drop missions, but not active story arcs. Either let us drop the entire arc or let us complete it at a respectable level.
  23. Too bad we cant really choose an incarnate item.

In addition Hero One's Excalibur has bin confirmed to draw power from the well.
This covers the potability for tech super science and natural origins to gain power from the well.

See Magical Lyrical Nanoha or for another example of this sort of magiteck.

I really don't like the idea of "Magitech". I personally prefer the notion that Pandora's box expanded human potential. This allows for there to still be "normal" people who can still die like anyone else and will never gain super powers.

The late game has you do things that ARE NOT within the capabilities of just a highly trained normal person. Not without disregarding the bulk of the visuals. And, yes, the Kronos Titan is a large part of that, as is Hequat. When you take an Explosive Missile Swarm to the face, shrug that off and proceed to beat down a machine roughly the size of the Atlas statue by punching it with your fists repeatedly, you've given up all pretence of normalcy. I used to have "natural human" characters once upon a time. I got rid of them all when I saw what they were supposed to be doing later in the game.

If the question here is "who purposely does NOT progress past a certain point," then that wouldn't be me. I find it to be both a gigantic waste and a profound missing of the point if one were to choose to, say, never level past 25 so he could stay at the level of the Tsoo and the Family and fight street-level crime. I mean, yeah, you can, but you're missing on 3/4 of the game.

A visual fix would be an actual animated miss for these attacks. At least it would seem like you were actually avoiding the attacks.
