    MA Mondays!

Hey folks! Just a reminder that we'll be starting tonight at 7:30pm EST with the following arcs:

    1) Sifaka #76496 "Insect"
    2) Sifaka #94407 "Trapped"
    3) Sifaka #118167 "Stronghold"
    4) Lt. Frost #41841
    5) Ashcraft #164681 "The Trifecta Task Force"

We will be meeting in RWZ to start. Both heroes and villains are welcome. Hope to see you there.
  2. Thanks everyone who came to the raid on Sunday! Was nice to get back to them after our 2 week break. It only took us an hour from the start of the monster hunt to the end, so everyone did a great job. It was nice to see some brand new raiders as well.

    And thanks Cherry.
    See you all next Sunday!

The biggest difficulty I can foresee is: How do you reach the very new players who are the ones who would most benefit from some mentoring? Most new players dont spend much time in the forums, and may not even know that they're there. So how do you reach them? (Other than hanging out in AP or GC and spamming like crazy, which would be both boring as hell for said person, and annoying as hell for everyone else)

Solve that... find an effective way to reach noobs and let them know there is mentoring out there, and you'll be well on your way to something good.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This. While I think you are working with a potentially great idea and you will have an abundance of mentors available, I imagine there will be very few players that will openly admit they need help and are willing to be taught. I've got to wonder how many people will walk up to you, after sufficient advertising of this project, and go "Yes! I'm a horrible player and clueless, please help!" I could be wrong, but I just don't see that being the majority of cases.

As Ultraamann said, targeting these individuals will be difficult because they are often not a part of the channels or forums that the more experienced players are familiar with.

Once again, the motive behind your idea is solid and something I think we all wish would be addressed. I applaud your efforts thus far, but I feel you need to consider your target audience more thoroughly and how to best connect with them.
  4. It's bacon pie. Hope that's alright.
  5. Sorry for the break in raids, a few things came up. We will be resuming this Sunday the 7th!

There will be punch, pie and a side of awesome. See you there.

    MA Mondays!

Another MA Monday done! We had 3 full teams tonight, so that was great!

We managed to make it to Acroyear's arc. We will resume next week with PownUnoobs' arc and continue down the list.

    See you next week!

Edit: Looks like the third team made it through PownUnoobs' arc as well! So we will start next week with Sifaka's arcs.

    MA Mondays!

MA Monday is on for tonight starting at 7:30pm EST in RWZ!

It's been 2 weeks, so apologies if I've messed up the order in terms of what all of our teams were able to complete. Last time we also had some technical difficulties to work around as well.

    4) PownUnoobs #142341 "Put an End to the S.P.E.C"
    5) Sifaka #76496 "Insect"
    6) Sifaka #94407 "Trapped"

LOL I remember doing an ITF with Witty and he had never seen anyone pull the entire platform to Rom.
Did you guys do this again for this run? or did you take the slow way of killing everyone on the platform?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heck no. Mass herd to Rom, roofs, win!

    Hiya

    Welcome to Champion!

Yes, we have been running hero Hami raids every Sunday starting at 7:30pm EST.

A good channel to join would be BMT of Champion. There are several OPs for this channel, including @Cobalt Azurean, @Cutlass, @Myrmydon, etc. If you are in game, send me a global tell @Amygdala and I'll be happy to connect you with one of them. I should be around for most of today.
  11. The ITF race was a lot of fun! We ended up with a really great group of players and everyone worked together exceptionally well.

    Long live Team Savage!
  12. Congrats guys! Nice to hear it went to completion. Sorry I left early, but I was feeling pretty brutal by the 3rd wave.

I think all the leads did an excellent job. I was really happy to have been able to hit 45 on my Corruptor so that I could attend. I look forward to future villain raids!
  13. Congrats guys! I've thoroughly enjoyed having you as neighbours for the past few years.

    All the best.

    MA Mondays!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it tonight for MA Monday. Please feel free to start up teams without me. I may be able to make it later on in the evening. Sorry!
  15. Sorry all, but I'll be busy this Sunday and won't be able to lead the raid. Looks like it's a long weekend for most of you, so enjoy the holiday.

  18. I've done a few MSTFs here and there.

I won't be able to do it in the late afternoon or early evening because I work Sundays and then head to the Hami raid after work. However, if you guys decide to run it after about 9pm EST I should be able to make that.

I can bring any Defender that isn't Sonic, a WP Tank with capped HP or a Controller that needs the badge.

    MA Mondays!

Thanks again for coming out everyone. We got pretty far on the list actually and were able to complete Lord Magmus' arc.

Next week we will continue in that order starting with Sovereign Savior's arc, Brains Over Brawn.

Just a little tip to help follow the story lines: I've been putting NPC chat in its own window. Some authors have written very clever dialog there, so you don't want to miss it.

    MA Mondays!

Alright folks, here is the line up, starting with a few arcs we did not complete last week.

    1) The Vahzilok Gamble, arc 83814 by Wayward
    2) The Lost Choir Part 2, arc 136959 by Mr Squid
    3) The Lost Choir Part 3, arc 141011 by Mr Squid
    4) There's Something in the Water, arc 60327 by PK Dauntless
    5) The Infernian Invasion: Act 1, arc 98299 by Lord Magmus
    6) Brains Over Brawn, arc 133458 by Sovereign Savior
    7) Skirmishes in Time, arc 157672 by Master Gabriel
    8) Invasion of Space Clowns, arc 1262 by Ashcraft
    9) The Praetorian Past Arc, arc 165889 by Black Tabby

We won't get through all of these tonight, but I just wanted to post a list to keep track. Please let me know if I missed anyone. Thanks.

    MA Mondays!

Thanks to everyone who came out this week. We had 2 full teams again, so that was great! It seems I overlooked an arc from last week, which we managed to complete tonight. My apologies for that. If I post the list for the night and I've skipped over an arc by accident, feel free to let me know. I will continue to go in order of the arcs posted in this thread for the following MA Mondays.

Overall, I'd say that the arcs we've run thus far have been very polished and have had interesting story ideas. So thank you to all the authors that have contributed to this event so far.
  22. Amygdala

    MA Mondays!

Well, since it looks like no one else put in an arc for this week, we will do Gulver's (from last week) and Mr Squids in the following order:

    1) Gulver arc 73197
    2) Mr Squid arc 123675 "The Lost Choir: Chapter One: The Old Testament"
    3) Mr Squid arc 136959 "The Lost Choir: Part Two: The New Testament"
    4) Mr Squid arc 141011 "The Lost Choir: Chapter Three: Apocrypha"

I would ideally like to have several different authors represented in a night, but it looks like this week has been quiet. So please, post your arcs if you want feedback!
