What you should to is to invest in a lot of recharge time IOs (it's always the 5th bonus of the set as far as I've seen, not counting LoTG +7,5%) as they help you to have less downtime on Mu Guardian. What you can do is that you can convert those slots used in Medicine to Leadership which opens you Maneuvers and Vengeance which you can stick LoTG into (that's +15 with them both)

Odd, I think Aid Self has been a damn lifesaver for me for the past half a year I've been playing Omega Patient. Nothing like getting critted by a scrapper and repairing the damage with a single Power Boosted Aid Self. As of the Recharge, I have a good working attack chain, and Domination is up as often as I need it without the +Rech from IOs. I don't want to mess up the good playstyle I've developed by taking new pools just for a bit of a recharge boost. (Almost wrote in the original post "please don't try and make this a +recharge build" or something along the lines)

Swap Swift with Health, since I9 Health is considered now better because you can slot some Miracle/Numina/Regen Tissue Uniques which all give nice boosts and you don't necessarily have to tool with Decimation/Thunderstrike combos to get better recovery and endurance.

Try to get the recharge bonus somewhere near 70%, the closer the better. Domination hasn't got to be perma, but it's good to get it chained a few times with Hasten. Having Tactics from the Leadership pool helps you with /SR Scrappers, and Power Boost helps you even more with it. If the Scrapper pops Elude, just run, or pop FoN (remember that 25 mins is now more like 14 minutes with your 70% bonus) Power Boost with Tactics (and Kismet +6 ToHit which is also affected by PB) you should hit through normal SR defenses as if it was swiss cheese with even more extra holes. The overall ToHit you get from using PB and those above is 44,322 ToHit in total, which should be enough.

Good tips, sadly not going the leadership route on this character. I'm currently also working on a Mind/Thorns to tear through the +defense people if they get too annoying. Omega is mostly about killing Tankers and Regens.

If you can, try to get the recharge bonuses AND +hp bonuses in the same package, and of course get every accolade you can muster, contact badge hunting channel or get some friends to do such. Playing a Dominator means aggressive play, +recharge bonuses help with that to get Domination up a lot faster.

Yes, which is why I'm relying on Aid Self for my heals. (as I don't believe in stocking up on insps at every turn at the zones) Mu Guardian is for those special moments when the scrapper pops elude and I need to survive a bit more. And finally something I agree about - the aggressive style.

Thinking of slowly upgrading Omega Patient to IO build after serious considering (and some "you really should do it" from friends) - switched some powers around from the original and ditched Ice Sword, which I don't use anymore as I have Blackwand from a veteran reward (even if the tohit is unreliable, it still feels better than Ice Sword.) Got Ice Sword Circle instead - a bit faster activation time, and another PBAoE slow power never hurts anyone, especially as I dropped Chilling Embrace to get Health in.
Any thoughts from those more apt in IO usage are appreciated. The point hasn't been to collect as many set bonuses as possible, but to use IOs in a way that makes me able to get well-rounded powers. (With a bit of energy focused on getting my accuracy up, those damn SRs still cause problems)

*nods* I've slotted the the % of hold in my Bitter Freeze Ray on my main, something I use only as an opener anyway. 1/5 shot in holding a squishy with just that is better than no shot. (And if it doesn't work, I still have 2 other holds to do the trick).
But mainly I was just nitpicking to the "nothing else than a controller/domi can oneshot a hold through acro" argument -

Seismic Smash (Tanker/Brute Stone Melee) is a Mag 4 hold, going through Acrobatics with one hit. (And these days you can slot your holds with the % of hold proc, which also allows overcoming acro with one hit some of the time.) -
You should use the endurance/resistance HOs in the munitions shield.

Agree with everything said about the powers shared by Devices and Traps (Nade, Trops, Mines, Bomb) from personal experience. And the other stuff seems about right from what I've seen Traps in action at the zones.
About Leadership - Maneuvers doesn't hurt a MM with other +Def powers. And with LotG: Recharge available, it's free +recharge to all your powers, so taking Maneuvers might be a good idea. -
I guess the biggest problem was that there just weren't enough heroes. Every time the numbers were checked it was something like "15 heroes, 29 villains" or something equally distressing. Also I don't recall seeing members of certain bigger super groups at all on the heroside, which was a total bummer. Not that I have any right to call blame, College of War had only like two (perhaps 3 at some point) people participating..
But being the underdog is the way I like my PvP, so this was 90% of the time a very enjoyable evening. Thank you Pious for organizing it. -
As already suggested, drop Maneuvers for Provoke. You could then probably shave a slot or two off that and put them to Brawl, which is lacking the OOMPH.

That was a blast, managed to get play my Stormie and my Mastermind, both which are unusual pvp chars for me, and both who were a blast to play
Suffcient to say, Heroes won every battle except warburg, where the Villains killed more Villains than Heroes managed to, which means I guess that Villains both lost and won.
(delusions are fun - villains pretty much pwnd every zone by the end, but in between the beginning and end, each zone was fun and balanced at times)

They're way too one-trick ponies to be overpowered. They play a mean game when they're against something that can't take them out, but are in trouble vs. some other enemies.

I'm just giving my dominator the IO treatment to her Aid Self - 3x Interrupt IO, Numina's End/Rech/Heal, Numina's Rech/Heal and Doctored Wounds Rech/Heal seems to be a very working combination.

Actually, no.
Terra Volta Reactor and Red Damage Crystals don't count for the damage taken badge. And any damage that keeps you above your unbuffed hitpoint cap isn't counted. (so if you have 100 hitpoints and +20% Max HP, while your hitpoints stay above 100 HP, they don't get counted).
