  1. Who said that every stat needs to be maxed out ?? Certainly not I..

    However I would like to option to exist within an IO set. I personally do not like frankenslotting although many do.
  2. I was thinking about this last night and it seems that Electric powers especially Blasts are underpowered and perform behind other sets.

    The issue is that electrical powers secondary effect of end drain is an all or nothing type of affair and if you slot for end drain, then you give up damage..

    So my solution... End/Mod Damage based IO sets.. We got knockback damage based IO sets ( and I dont know who really asked for MORE knockback )

    If there were End/Mod Damage sets with some Acc and Recharge this woukod allow you to slot for BOTH damage and end drain making the set more flexible....

    Just my thought...

  5. I would like to add that while I realize certain sets are team oriented I simply hate the fact that FF and Sonic add little to help the player do things solo.. Does it makse any sense that I cant bubble or protect myself ????
  6. Why does Gun Drone cost SO MUCH end to summon , take TOO LONG To summon and then stays around such a short amount of time..

    This power needs the end cost and summoning time shortened.. the summoning time is like.. wow.....

    And it would be nice is trip mines were shortened because then people would let you actually use them on teams.. Solo no issue.. on teams no one wants to wait for you.....

You click the power and it sets the bomb, toggle goes on, costs very little to run but costs a lot up front... then it has a duration before it toggles off. When it toggles off, pet dies, power explodes.

  8. Ill make it simple.. Things wrong with Fire Armor

    Fire Armors resistances are too low compared to other other tanks that have the ability to stack defense AND resistance together to aid their survivability...
    Fire Armor has no immobilize or Knockback resistance in its toggles which means more power pools... or expensive IO;s are needed just to do its job.


    Fire Armor has no tier 9 like most other tanks which AID its ability to survive. Unstoppable helps you SURVIVE... Hibernate Helps you SURVIVE.. Strength of Will.. One with the Shield... GRANITE... PLEASE..... The fire tank waits until level 32 to get a power that DOESNT help them and which will not be used most of the time they are playing... WOW what a jip...

    NO tank should have a tier NINE power that you can only use AFTER you are dead.. Stupid.. Stupid concept.. Rise of the Phoenix should be move to earlier in the set....

    Fiery Embrace is far less useful if you are NOT Fire Melee... Which is also bad design... THIS should have been the tier 9 and like one of the above posters said something that engulfs you in tremendous flame.. You get more resistance.. you get more end recovery and you get more damage until it crashes.. It should be something like rage.. THEN your fire tank is the offensive Juggernaut of tanks.. and lower resistance could actually make SENSE..

    Fire Tanks today are still paying for the fact that burn was overpowered and then nerfed ( rightfully so because it was over the top) but then the devs went one step further and added a fear affect which scatters mobs and takes foes away from the fire tank which rendered the power useless to many ( including this tank )

    Blazing Aura is hellacious on endurance Ive got three end redux in it just to get it down to the cost of a NORMAL toggle... Thats a lot of end for a MINOR damage attack.... and while ICE has the same it also has enegry absorption to help with its end and while Stone has Mud Poys they also slow and immobilize..

    Fire Tanks are still paying for the changes that occured with ED, with much lower resistance that make it MANDATORY for you to take tough just to survive.

    Temperature Protection is a freaking joke... And I dont care that they added some stuff to a power that I would never take. They should have added that to the toggles I already HAVE which are already lacking Immobilize and Knockback resistance...

    I cant think of anything else right now and just making this post has made me upset about all the things that have been wrong about Fire Armor for YEARS now..

    We did get a boost to Healing Flames and that helped A LOT... but it still falls far behind other tank sets in terms of survival and I have played them to 50 with the exception of Dark and Stone.. and I built my wife's Stone/SS tank and I have watched her tank two and three AV's at a time and survive...

    Fire Armor is definitely underperforming...
  9. Underperforming doesn't mean unplayable. It simply means the set doesnt perform as well as it could or that it performs less than expected.

    I think Electric Blast sets underperform but I throughly enjoy playing both my Elec/Elec Blaster and my Kin/Elec defender.
  10. Wow... ok.. where to start....

    Gravity for Controllers ( and I assume Dominators share the same issue )

    - All hard controls. No useful soft control powers mixed in to help deal with foes.. Earth has Earthquake and Quicksand, Ice has Ice slick, Arctic Air and Shiver. Gravity has the utterly USELESS Dimension Shift and the difficult to use ( takes practice ) Wormhole... I have suggest for YEARS that Dimenshion Shift be removed and add a power called Anti Gravity field that works like Ice Slick and Earthquake to know foes down.. And Gravity should have some kind of slow field that reduces movement speed. flight and recharge speed..( not slow as an effect when you control doesnt work )...

    OH and not to mention that Propel is the slowest freaking attack on the planet and usually doesnt hit a foe until AFTER its already dead due to the excessive tine needed to animate and generate an image.. I would make ONE image.. make it look like a mini singularity ( which I have suggest several times as well ) it would look cool.. It would still knockback and I assume it would animate faster..

    The WARSHADE has better Gravity themed Powers than the Grav Controller does.. thats a shame IMO....

    ----Electric Blasts. Let me start out by saying that I LOVE Electric Blasts. But they definitely feel very underpowered compared to other sets and End Drain works better depending on which Secondary you choose. Either End Drain needs to work better OR Damage needs a tweak..

    -Sonic Resonance... my beef with this set is several things.. One its a straight port of Force Field except with Damage Resistance instead of Defense... Detention Field is crap in PVE and Sonic Cage is crap as well.. and you know why its crap ?? Its not so much the effect( which in itself is annoying ) is that it should be a toggle that I can TURN OFF when I want too...

    Sonic Reuplsion.. yes thats what everyone wants.. Mobs scattered all over the place... not a team power..

    I also hate the fact that one of my BEST powers Disruption field ONLY WORKS WITH AN ALLY.. the freaking TRICK ARROW defender figured out how to make this power a Location AoE but me the MASTER of Sonic cant figure this out ???!!!!! WTH !!!!! and he gets a 25 foot radius too ???!!!!!!!

    Oh yeah.... Liquify.. what a piece of crap.. yes it works... but its still a piece of crap... First off all Sonic is all about -Res... yet my TIER FREAKING has NO -res in it... NONE.... There is a lamo hold that I have seen work like once.. oh yeah and a Defense to hit Debuff thats nice.... but its equal to what a RAD defender does in their tier TWO power.. so the power I have waited 32 0r 38 levels to get is no better than what a Rad defender got more than 20 levels earlier ??????? you gotta be kidding me...

    Looks like Its time for me to get to work.. Ill be back later to rant about

  13. This kind of stuff is bad for this game going forward and it needs to be addressed.. If people want to farm fine.. but when you have people that have three and four level 50's and they dont know where Steel Canyon is ?????

    I have met people that have never ridden the train.. not even once..and they have several 50's.

    Actually, I'd really appreciate a post on the subject myself. It's hard not to worry that the message never even got through, in all the complaints and incorrect assumptions about the End costs and power adjustments.

    After spending weeks reading various threads (and noting who is posting what and how often in them) I have yet to really see any sort of consensus of there being a problem (except PVP damage, which has already been mentioned in another post.) Hot spots that I am paying close attention to are End Costs, Flares and low level play issues.

    Thank you cause end costs need to be tweaked down a bit.. Ive got three slotted stamina with the Performance Proc and If I didnt have Drain Psyche and Perma Dom it be out of end constistently between Psy Scream and Shockwave.. I dont know about other sets but these seem to be a bit too high to me..

    That... and perma Voltaic Sentinels... and Tesla Cage getting a flares-level damage boost... and... and...

    The worst example yet in my experience was from some helpless person I was futily attempting to solo Jurassik. I see a broadcast in Crey's Folly

    "I've been killing enemies for 30 minutes and my 'Hunt Crey' number wont go down! What's a Crey??"

    I had someone last night who was it Atlas and didnt know how to get to Steel Canyon to change their costume. Numerous broadcasts told the person ( who was around level 30ish ) how to get there either through the door or taking the train. They STILL couldnt find it.. apparently the only two things they knew was the AE building and the Atlas statue. Didnt even know how to pull up the map...

    I sent an invite to team telling them I would show them where the door is.. They rejected the invite... yet still asking in broadcast how to get to the tailor.. I tried this two more times telling them take the invite and I will show them where it is..

    They rejected it two more times while yelling.. I dont want to do any AE missions right now...

    I have never seen anything in 5 years that has messed this game up as quickly as AE has...

  22. I have several tanks.. Ice/Stone, Inv/NRG, Shield/SS, WP/SS and Fire/Fire and built my wifes Stone/SS.. I think any tank if well built will be a tremendous help to any team and will be able to take the punishment.
  23. This is an idea for a Kin/Elec build I would like to use mostly in melee range to take advantage of Fulcrum Shift. I have a Elec/Elec/Elec Blaster that I love so doing a similar theme on defender.. Also have an Electric Brute and would love to see an electric controller but I digress.

    I am mostly thinking about the APP. I am thinking of going Electric or Energy.. Energy mostly for Power Build up to use with Short Circuit to drain foes but it doesnt come up very fast. Powersink however comes very late in the Electric Pool

    Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Where is this lunacy coming from because I have been seeing it alot since AE dropped.. can these all bew brand new players that just have no idea how to build an effective character ??

    Ive seen a LOT of this.. and Im not talking just people not taking things for concept or thematic reasons.. im talking staples... necessary powers for the set to be effective not taken...

    Ive played mostly on Justice which to me seems to be one of the more " educated " servers but it seems as if the population of Justice has gotten smaller IMO..

    So i recently started playing on Virtue after some friends had moved there...... The Horror ive seen...

    Willpower tanks with Mind over Body and Rise to the Challenge saying Willpower sucks because they keep dying...

    Tanks with THREE travel Powers and no Fitness Pool...

    Cold defenders with no benumb...

    oh yeah we had a high level rad with no Radiation Infection and no Lingering Radiation...

    A Wp/Mace tank that had not taken Clobber Shatter or Crowd Control by level 49 !!!!!!!!! FORTY NINE !!!!!!!! because they were too slow...

    Seriously.. where are these people coming from ???
