    HA I bought 6 of these weeks ago when I first heard about the change for brutes and tanks.
  4. This is gettin tough for me because I am looking at a post issue 19 build and having trouble deciding..

    I have most of the standard powers and picked up the Mace Mastery pool and took We Envelope and the Mace Beam Volley which I though would be decent but and kinda meh...

    I looked at the MU pool because I liked the idea of Electric Fences and Static Discharge as nice additions but I would lose Scorpion Shield and adding tough and weave doesnt really make up for the loss of that.

    Then I heard about adding Provoke and running in Body Guard Mode which makes a LOT of sense..

    The good thing is that I have a lot of option... The bad thing is that I have a lot of options !!!

  8. Ive build pretty much every tank except Dark to level 50 and I just find that Invuln overrall is the best for me. Stone in granite is very very tough but you pay for that by being incredibly slow, travel limited and doing less damage.

    My Invuln will get even better once issue 19 drops.. He already has perma Dull Pain, Soft capped defense with a very few foes in range and with IO's even has decent defense and resistance to PSI. And he is at the cap for smashing lethal resistance as well.

    Plus no recharge or damage penalties.

    Dominators get control sets and Illusion Control is a control set therefore they should get it.

    You know what I find funny... I play blasters.. and I have played scrappers and I can tell you that every one of my blasters can take out a mob much faster than the majority of my scrappers.

    Thats from playing.. not sitting around and crunching numbers..

  14. /Cold is a very good set and works will with many primaries. One of the key benefits you will get with cold is the ability to use Heatsink as a source of both end drain and recovery for you. The shield will definitely help the Gremlins survive better.

    The combination of Artic Fog and Conductive Aura should be quite impressive.

  16. I wish there was a way we could choose what effect we wanted on a power. For some I would totally choose knockback.. Others I would choose Knockdown..
  17. Primarily my function as a blaster is to defeat foes quickly. This can be done via range or up close. I dont consider any of my Blasters to be Blappers but they can get in and out of melee if need be.

  19. I love my SS/SR brute.. he is a beast and only going to get better with the Stamina change..
  20. My first 50 was a Fire/Fire tank and that was before there ever was an Epic Pool..

    Thats the difference between you and me.. Fun and enjoyment isnt reduced to DPS.

    I have an interesting case of altitis.. I have lots of toons I want to make.. list them in a book. But I usually play from 1 all the way to 50 and then start another one. Ive been playing since two months after release so Ive been around for a while.

    The Rad/Fire has been really really fun. I was playing that until Issue 18 came out and I started an Elec/Rad Controller...
