  1. I would say that out of the 40+ toons that I have with all but 4 of them being level 50, I was able to improve almost every single character even without having extra slots.

Every Tank picked up Conserve Power and Physical Perfection for the Chance for +End Proc.

Every Brute was able to pick up Taunt, Superior Conditioning and Physical Perfect. Taunt to help build fury and TWO Chance for +End Procs slotted in those two powers.

Every Controller got Recall Friend. My Ice/Storm finally picked up O2Boost to heal Jack Frost.

Defenders who didnt have it all got leadership pool.

    Corruptors also got leadership pool.

Some toons I havent gone over in a while I TOTALLY reworked IO's and sets and they got A LOT better..

There were only TWO toons that I could see NO improvement from with a respec. The Dominator will get getting Alpha slottagle to help him with End.

Its been a pain.. but pretty ive gotten improvement across the board.

    What is Alpha?

The Alpha Slot is the first " level " of the Incarnate tree which was released with Issue 19 Alpha Strike. You need to have a level 50 and have purchased the Going Rogue expansion and complete a relatively short mission tree in Ouroborous to unlock the slot. Then you need to craft the necessary items to put the enhancement in the Alpha Slot.

The new TF's Apex and Tin Mage apply a -4 debuff to all characters without their Alpha slotted which would make it a lot more challenging.

Zombie man has a good guide on Issue 19.
  3. For me the answer is no. I have a lot of 50's just that I cant see everyone of them becoming an incarnate. Its like I see my many guys like a Justice League. Sure there are a LOT of really power guys in the Justice League but there is ONE Superman... ONE Green Lantern... Kind of like that..

SO I find myself selecting certain 50's being elected to Incarnate status.

Anyone else going this way ???
  4. He he yeah I IO'd my tank waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day when all this stuff was MUCH cheaper !!!
  5. Here is my Issue 19 Build as it exists on live. Decent defense, better with foes in range. Decent Regen, Perma Dull Pain. Decent Psi Resists.

Obviously building for defense is very popular now, because it works. But its not something that is achieved until late game, and through a fair amount of work and effort in most cases. The problem with defense is, lower levels of defense and become almost useless, especially against the defense busting tactics this game employs. So overusing them would really over-gimp builds that have only defense as damage mitigation. I understand the devs are reacting to a popular tactic, but I hope they don't over-react like they did in the past in some cases.
This is exactly what I expected to happen. Every soft capping the crap out of everything Blasters at the soft cap. Defenders at the soft cap. Everthing at the soft cap This was the type of things I expected to see. People are going to have to learn how to use tactics again.
  9. I find myself liking the mobility of TA. I can debuff on the move and place them wherever I want on whomever I want. Traps feels slow and I kind of feel that on a fast moving team I might be getting the best use out of Traps. However i LOVE the Force Field Generator and the Mortar draw aggro away from me. I also am looking at the ability to stack defense with the FFG and Scorpion Shield.
  10. I have been leaning a little bit towards traps.
  11. I have one of each of these mid level and I am enjoying both but I dont want to have two toons with the same primary.

Id like some opinions of others that are playing the sets.
  12. I recently built a Dark Armor/Stone Melee tank and while I think Dark Armor is a good set, IMO it needs quite a bit of IO help to make it shine. Its also really really end heavy and has no end recovery in the set. I would have like to have seen both in the set.
  13. This is the way I am going with my second build. Build 1 is a pure ranged AoE Centric Crab his Alpha slot will be End Redux. Build 2 will be a mini tank build.

I am not sure whether it is "too many defenders" or "too many controllers" that I find harder to comprehend. That's like "too much garlic".

    HA no such thing !!!!
  15. I learned a lesson from our SG member Khai and Tavy...

Defenders, Controller and Corruptors well played of ANY type will make a team steamroll.
  16. Im going with End redux for all my Dom's. They already have PermaDom so more recharge wont help but they call ALL burn through and end bar very quickly. Sometimes its just Dom recharging that saves my blue bar.

Exactly why I am going with Cardiac for pretty much every tank I make.

I think I will be going Spiritual on only two tanks.Recharge on the Shield so I can get Energize closer to perma. Plus the heal will make Enegrize heal for more. I am thinking of going this way on the Fire/Fire to get Healing Flames up faster and again heal for more.

  19. I loved the original Shadow Shard invasion !!! I miss this.. I was making a whole story arc in AE based around the Tsoo and the Shadow Shard but I couldnt make level 50 Tsoo.
  20. I just removed the fitness pool from all my builds and saved the slots I had dedicated to that pool.
  21. I am about halfway through one server. I think I have done somewhere around 12-14 respecs so far. What I am finding the most time consuming is the placement of the actual slots.

It occured to me if the system worked something like the way Mid's Dynamic build works it would be much faster. They might need to design an interface that works with a drop and drag kind of thing like the Wentworth interface does.

The second most time consuming this is the configuration of the attack tray.Writing down the order of the buttons in the attack tray takes time over 3-4 trays. The problem here is that the respec doesnt remember the order in which the tray was originally. It then adds EVERY thing into the tray. The beanbag gun.. The fire extinguisher. Amys Ward. That snow beast from 2 years ago. That is annoying.
  22. Many of my characters backgrounds is that they are part of an organization that fights against threats like the Rikti invasion so I get a kick out of them when they happen.
  23. Airhammer

    Slotting Hover?

I always slot Hover with a fly and Swift with a fly and if I have leftover slots I will slot Hover with two more additional slots.
  24. Wait they nerfed accuracy again ?????
  25. Usually in the zone where I log but always inside a building in case of an invasion.
