I will BUY these !!!!! I love Tech Armor. The more Tech stuff they make the better I say !!!!!!!
PS I have new pants.... -
if I remember correctly the defense debuff wont trigger but the end crash and the damage debuff does.
-
I went with three Damage/Acc Hami-O's in my final build.
You could go with the Expedient Reinforcement set. Or go 1 Acc/3 Damage and get the defense/resist IO's for pets in the build. -
just never see many of these at all and it seems like a natural thing to build like Fire/Fire or Earth/Earth and I see plenty of those.
-
I do need to spam Burst more. I am going to forge ahead with my Crushing Impact build but I will start looking at slotting them now instead of waiting till I hit 50. I am basically running on regular IO's right now.

I am working on a level 44 KM/WP brute and I was on my first ITF with him. He got shredded. My WP/SS tank does fine. Problem I realized is that the Brutes defense value and HP is lower. I am really not looking to buy sets of Kinetic Combats to try and stack up defenses vs Smashing Lethal as they are far to costly for me. I was looking at sets of Touch of Death for melee and I have a few of these already..
I will admit my concept for this build was a toon named Eveready. I was going to build him with very high recharge with Crushing Impacts and LotG's + recharges ( I already have these ), however I dont see how he would survive long term. I am looking at ways to add in even more regen into the build but am concerned whether adding more regen is truly the answer.
Share your thoughts please..
Thanks in Advance. -
Thanks im just kind of debating what to do in my build. I guess I will just try it and I can always respec later.
-
I have several SS tanks and I have no issue whatsoever with the sets overall performance. I am very satisfied.
-
just wondering because I got my guy "Icebreaker" to level 41 and I am looking at Epic and wondering how well people do with Ice Storm on a tank. Im either going with that or taking Enegry for Conserve Power and Physical Perfection.
-
None of my blasters have one iota of defense built in and I can survive with any of them just fine. And Ive been around since about launch.

Quote:About the most intelligent thing I have read on the forums within the last year. Seriously good response.Probably because brutes, the AT that would care about damage performance, are quite happy with the set's performance, even with the diluted effect Rage gives to brutes. They don't want to complain about it considering that any time the devs take to look at the set will probably result in a performance reduction.
The tankers that complain about its presumed poor performance are the ones that have a deluded perspective and don't understand that the most survivable AT cannot also be the highest damage dealing AT. These unfortunate people are forever doomed to ask for things outside the realm of reasonable expectation. They do not see the sets over performance, and instead only compare Super Strength for tankers to similar damage dealing sets of scrappers. -

Excellent that was exactly what I was looking for. Thank You.

Someone like that is not someone I would want to team with anyway. Consider yourself lucky.

Quote:I can agree with that. This is true to a certain extent. But by and large...people are sheep. Whatever is considered the 'popular' thing to do will be done by most people.
Usually it is by that general consensus that changes are made to the game in the first place.
Take inherent fitness. There were folks(like me) that got along just fine without it except for certain builds. The vast majority of people obviously thought differently(or didn't think and just followed the crowd), and took fitness for every toon regardless of if they needed it it or not.
So yes, I play my blasters a certain way, and you another and we may value our individuality. To most other folks, they do what they see someone else doing or what they get told is the norm. People that come to the forums are probably outliers more often than not. -
I have an costume idea but what color visually represents Gold the best ????
-
you know what I want.. the ability to make any foes any level without making custom ones. I would LOVE to make a mission with level 50 Tsoo.
-
Quote:I wil say that I would need to try it again because I havent played it in a while. I will tell you that any of my other blasters can easily defeat +2 mobs with their nukes with the crash..If thats an even level mob then I'm actually a bit worried. My AR/Ice Blaster takes even level mobs and chews up everything under an LT into shredded confetti with BU+Full Auto. RoA is even nastier.
And the reality is that the crash isnt that big of a deal... Seriously.. thats what inspirations are for.
Elec/Elec has Powersink.. Eat a blue.. full end bar on next mob...
Nrg/Nrg has Conserve Power.. Eat a Blue hit CP and I will be fine..
Rad/MM and Fire/MM have Drain Psyche.. Eat a Blue.. Drain next mob...
I am glad there are crashless nukes.. I enjoy them... but that doesnt negate or change the usefulness of the other nukes. -
Ill give you a classic.
Airhammer is built as a singke target blaster. While he has some AoE's he is best at taking out a single target and from ridiculously long range ( 2 damage range Hami-o's in every ranged attack ). On teams that I play with regularly I am the person that takes out that annoying target quickly. The Malta Sapper.. Mine.. The Avalanche Shaman.. mine.. The Death Mage... mine..
Thats one reason I believe its to be a single target. -
I went recharge to get me into perma AM, perma PA, and two seconds from Perma Hasten.

Quote:There never has been a particular playstyle or theme of how the game is played. You can play your blaster anyway you chose. I have played my nuke as a opener and a finisher. Thats all the individual.Except that, from what people have been posting here, they don't get used in this fashion. They are used to insta-pwn a spawn so that the team can move forward that much faster. That's not a Last Tactical Solution. That's a preemptive strike solution so your team has one less speed bump on its steam roller route.
This was kind of my point when I talked about them not matching up to the theme of how the game is played. These are powers that were put in the game during the 'dark ages' so to speak. They were supposed to get a team out of an impossible fight when you aggroed too many mobs etc. -
I have a Blaster with Full Auto and I have a blaster wih RoA and they can barely take out a mob their level with a nuke unless I stack another attack
All of my other blasters can wipe a mob out their level with with ONE nuke..
With additional attacks I can easily wipe out a +2 mob with a Nuke on all my other blasters. The Nukes that have a crash do more damage per application. The crashless nukes while up more often do less damage.
