I actually hope it doesnt get ported over. Some things need to stay exclusive IMO..

While I personally prefer Brutes over scrappers ( because I can play Mini tank as well ) It sounds to me that what you what is a scrapper.

Lambda for squishes is a beast...

I already emailed some of the devs and marketing and I hope in the future they will handle some of these announcements better.

Fact.. several people have commented on this post that they are forum users and did not know about it.

Fact.. I have talked to several people im game who are avid players.. on for hours at a time every day and they did not know about it.

Reality.. They handled this announcement rather poorly.. simply put.. People want to blame the user, insult my intelligence yadda yadda.. but the reality is that they did a very poor job with this particular announcement.

People just dont seem to get it.. This announcement was handled poorly.. I can name a lot of announcements from Paragon Studious that were handled much better than this one. You can blame the person who logs in all you want.. however when the announcement itself is poorly handled then the company shares some of that blame..

I made several points..

A) The announcement could have been made better. They could have let people know way ahead of time. Like they do with toms of other stuff.. you know.. like Going Rogue.. or the SPorts Pack.. or the Animal Pack or numerous other things they have handled WAY better in letting the populace KNOW it was coming..

B) The timing was off.. To give the discounted character slots apart from the discounted server transfers was just not good planning

C) The timing was too short. They should have given people again.. enough time to find out about it.. as well as give people enough time to figure out what they wanted to do..

All I am saying is that this was poorly handled IMO. I hope they do a better job next time.

The info was made available.. however the way in which is was made available and how it was implemented is definitely something that needs to be considered in the future. I have now talked to several people in game who had no idea whatsoever this had transpired. Paragon Studios simply needed to do a better job and they did not in this case IMO...

The reality is that with all the tools availabe a good number of people missed it and its still could have been handled better.. Also the amount of time it was available could have bee longer and people should have been allowed to BOTH purchase slots AND do trasnfers at a discount at the same time.

More Branching powers like VEAT's have for every AT and powerset...

Law my bad there were no free transfers.. They were 50% off.. I changed that in my original post.

I want to make it clear that I am not trying to set a tone that is nasty Im not even super angry.. I am more disappointed than anything.

Serious I have several issues with this whole thing, and I will admit upfront that some of it is personal and probably doesnt affect anyone else but I have to say something.

1) The notification of the discounted transfers were terrible. The email system is busted and rare;y updates you about everything in the game. Also the devs have to realize that there is a populace of the game which doesnt read the forums or doesnt look at the login page. I myself visit the forums frequently but due to a busy work schedule and moving to a new apartment totally missed the announcement. When I did finally see it.. the time had ended. I have many friends who play and almost NEVER read the forums at all.

I also have an issue that the announcement was at the end of several other highly visible announcements It should have had a more major announcement.

2) Why do the server transfer BEFORE the discounted slot purchase? To me that seems TOTALLY backwards. Many people need to free up slots BEFORE They transfer toons over. This seemed very backwards and not well thought out. They should have been made available at the same time

3) They should have been made available for a LONGER time period.. Bottom Line.. some people live week to week with their paychecks. I have a pretty tight budget I am in that situation at the moment. It might take me more than a week to get enough cash together to transfer a few toons. Some people get paid every TWO weeks... They should have made the offer available longer.. again this situation doesnt affect everyone but its something that I feel should have been thought about.

4) Why do this BEFORE you merge the server list ??? Maybe I would have liked to transfer a toon onto Union ??

5) Why dont transfers have a discount all the time? Character slots do.. When you but more than one you get a little discount. Why arent server transfers the same way.. it doesnt have to be 50% off but one or two dollars off here and there helps.

That being said I think they should re-relase the discounted server transfer for that might have missed it... ANd they should extend the time longer..

Im upset... one I didnt even see an email regarding the discounted transfer and the sentence that stated the discount was small and separated from the other announcements. I think that was terrible... I just looked at it today and still BARELY saw it.. I feel ripped off.. and now they offer discounted slots AFTER the transfer ????? Seriously ??? sorry CoH this is really really lame..

Aww crap there were discounted server transfers ????? Crap I was moving all last week and missed it !!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yay.. now how about some discounted or even better some FREE transfers again for my seven years of faithful service to keep Paragon City crime free ??!!!!!

Stone and dont look back.. seriously.. yes the end can be a challenge. but the reward is well worth it. The ability to continually stun bosses is huge..
