Quote:No, she wasn't. Miss Liberty has been an important person in Paragon City for years, not "two missions". Heroes of the city know her, know her past deeds, know her present company, know her family, and care about her.But to the hero players, she was killed 2 missions after being introduced, ...
Just because she was not important TO YOU, one single PLAYER, until this one arc does not mean anything in the grand scheme of things, where you obstinately continue to ignore canon information.
As to the world's treatment of her passing: the game does not have far-fetching phasing tech yet. It just doesn't operate that way. It is better to be status quo than go off on one part a story arc that not everyone will experience (or even *CAN* - premium and freebies have to PAY for this content and not all of them do/can). It's not until the conclusion of the arc that the game changes meaningfully (when one of the Surviving Eight dies and is removed from the game). -
How about the status of the forum logout bug? Not got your forum droogies kicked hard enough in the pants yet?

Quote:In the world of Paragon City, according to canon, all heroes know Statesman and the rest of the biggies. If a hero knows Statesman, they know he has a daughter (Miss Liberty) and a grand daughter (Ms. Liberty). Miss Liberty is not some schmoe off the street, SHE IS THE STATESMAN'S DAUGHTER *and* she is the CO-FOUNDER (alongside Statesman) of the Freedom Corps, a very large group to facilitate communication with heroes. In the lore of Paragon City, SHE IS SOMEBODY IMPORTANT.Heroes were told to escort, then rescue a minor character that they'd never met and means nothing to them.
I am using capslock because you don't seem to realize that you're completely ignoring canon information to support your personal vendetta against this "book" and the way it is being written.
If you can ignore that Miss Liberty is an important part of Paragon City history, and that her loss is pretty big to the city and to all heroes, then surely you can ignore this one piece of a story arc and pretend it happened some other way to make the outcome more palatable for you. -
Yeah, a lot of their initial restrictions comments have turned out to be totally off base. (ba dum tishhhhh)

2002 - start (and end) of the Rikti War.
2007 - second (repeating) invasion. -
I just want to point out that I can edit my base on my preemie account (only T3 rewards). What preemies can't do is interact with the SG registrar. This includes registering a supergroup, asking to create a base after registration, paying rent, and exchanging inf for prestige. You do not have to interact with the SG registrar to edit a base, only to create the initial plot.

Nofuture moved to http://tomax.cohtitan.com but the "content" side of it is not kept up to date (since the Titan Network hosts Paragon Wiki, a more thorough "content" site than nofuture ever was), only the "power data" side of it is (though it is currently a couple issues out of date because there are a LOT of things going on at the Titan Network right now).

Quote:Actually, you have to look at the "book" as a whole. Just because you're playing the hero side arc doesn't mean the villain side arc doesn't exist. It does.If there's only one path to follow, at least let it be a good one. In this particular one, villain NPCs (aka, a computer program) got to shove it to the blue players (aka, actual human beings) while they're happily playing Manticore's sidekick and shouting OHNOES.
You have hero players (hero side arc) against villain players (villain side arc), it's just that while you're actually playing a character (i.e. the hero), the other side (i.e. the villain) can't be a player since the game doesn't work that way.
This is one of very, very few pieces of the game written this way. The only other content I can think of that pits a player against a "player" (with an NPC in the driver seat) is the "boss group" in the Statesman TF where you fight the respec tree. You're a team of heroes coming up against a team of villains who are minding their own business doing a respec trial. (I find this hysterical, by the way; one of my favorite pieces of game flavor.) -
Quote:Not a new bug. Been around since at least November 2009, which is when the bug note was added to the wiki:Found another bug.
Macros get shortened if they not in an active tray when you zone.
For example, i got these two macros on my fire blaster.
"gototrayalt 5$$powexec_name Aim"
"gototrayalt 2$$powexec_name Build Up"
This lets me use same button in my hotbar to use both aim and build up.
But if tray 2 is open and you zone then macro in tray 5 will be cut down to "gototrayalt 2".
And vice versa. Very annoying.

Put gototrayalt # at the end. -
Quote:When a bug is so annoying that you actively avoid logging in until it is fixed, I would say that is pretty game-breaking. My game is broken, that is the definition of "game-breaking bug". I simply cannot handle reloading my windows every two minutes to half an hour, depending on what's happening. It is not something that I will put up with. My game is broken. But the people claiming this bug is game-breaking are just doomsayers for the sake of doomsaying imo. Yes the term is subjective - but a graphics glitch falls more under annoyance than earth-shattering-game-breaking doom. It's like when the servers are down for 6 hours and somebody always comes into the forums and posts a thread about how they demand compensation for the money they're losing due to downtime. It's hyperbole.
I am not saying THE GAME FOR EVERYONE is broken. I am saying MY game is broken. This, for me, is a game-breaking bug. -
Quote:Numina didn't die in the war, she was dead before the war, so she survived in the same state as she started out in. So yes, "Surviving Eight" applies to her quite well.I love that Numina is on that list. It's always struck me as funny that she's one of the "Surviving Eight" given that her whole schtick is that she didn't survive, but now they've gone it one better on the silliness scale by dangling the possibility that she May Be Killed to gin up suspense for WWD.

This issue is full of bugs, I have a bunch of friends who have characters that are locked out (all of them with Market-only powersets, e.g. Street Justice, Beam Rifle, etc.) even if other characters of theirs with the same powerset(s) are not locked out.
Try quitting the game, staying out for a few minutes, then logging back in. This forces a refresh of your account data in the market system.
If that doesn't work, send a /petition ingame. -
Quote:I just want to point out that it is one of the "Surviving Eight" that will die, not necessarily a member of the Freedom Phalanx, and your list leaves out Back Alley Brawler (who is not a member of the Freedom Phalanx, but *IS* a member of the Surviving Eight. Case in point: two of the pre-release teaser images show broken Brawler gloves alongside Manticore's broken bow and Statesman's cracked mask.)B) She's not counted as one of the 7 signature members of Freedom Phalanx who's about to die (Statesman, Manticore, Synapse, Citadel, Sister Psyche, Positron and Numina), just a senseless victim pulled out of a hat to add to the drama
That's just a nitpick though. -
Hmm.
There were two forum volunteers introduced a while back, and I could have sworn one of them was you. Hmm, hmm. I wonder who they were. *chin scratch* -
I just want to point out that Tex is a glorified forum user, a volunteer tech head, not a developer hired on to Paragon Studios. Or at least, that's what he was introduced as, I don't know if his status has changed since then.

You can PM Diellan_ (note underscore) on the forums here, who is the lead Mids' programmer. I'm not 100% sure if he'll be able to help you because that's an odd issue (one I cannot reproduce) but it's worth a shot if you can't login to Titan.

I've fixed the wiki. No idea how that even got there, to be honest. LOL

/windowtoggle costume
/cc and /costumechange are the slash commands to actually change your costume, so you're reading the threads and sites wrong. (unless you care to link the threads/sites that are actually saying it wrong) -
Add the "cutscene captions" chat channel to one of your chat tabs. Put it in a hidden tab if you don't want to review what is actually said during cutscenes.
-
Bases are somehow flagged for PVP. I have some PVP items for decoration because they look cool, and SG members and visitors are getting debuffed/shot at by them. LOL

During demo playing, yes; you can manually alter the Z axis in the demo record file.
During normal playing, no; the camera utilizes a spherical viewpoint that is centered slightly below the character's shoulders. -
I would play 6 alts and delete and reroll the 7th constantly because I love the low-level (especially when including low-level AE content) and mid-level experience, and because I can't stand being stuck into something so restrictive as "seven characters and SEVEN CHARACTERS ONLY!!!!" God, that just sounds awful.
I would permanently keep my current 50s (I love these characters too much):
emp/arch defender
claws/regen scrapper
energy/sonic corruptor
illusion/trick arrow controller
Then I would probably have two brutes for the last "long life" ones, but likely would delete and reroll when they got up to mid/high levels (as opposed to the last slot which would be "short term" rerollers), because I get bored easily.
But to be honest, if I was stuck with seven characters, I would likely not play the game very long. -
Quote:This is not a problem. No payment plan awards all tokens or points up front. Both are awarded monthly. (You should get your next allotment of points a month after the last time you got points, at the beginning of your next month, barring any lapse in VIP time. You should get your reward token a month after the last time you got a token, at the end of your current month, barring any lapse in VIP time.)The PROBLEMS:
My Time card usage did not automatically add the paragon reward tokens nor the paragon points that I should have gotten right away like you do when you pay for x months up front with a credit card.
Suggested Fixes:
Fix this so that you get your points up front like other payment methods do.
"All up front" was planned for reward tokens (not for paragon points - they were ALWAYS going to award monthly), then scrapped because they couldn't get it working.
