Quote:The Seattle web team is (probably) located in my fiance's work building. :xI'll help. And it's a really short drive for me to get over to the Seattle web team's office.
Unless they have a separate site than the NCsoft "pseudo-hq" downtown.
edit: whoops. this was supposed to be an addition to the above post. Soz for double-posting. Ten lashes! -
Quote:If you've got Firefox, you can use ReloadEvery. (or any number of other refresh addons, but this is the most popular/stable)For now, to keep my session all day, I've made a Greasemonkey script to refresh the forums every 4 hours (I leave them up) http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/120611 if anyone wants to use it.

Quote:When you pay for a month's subscription (either one-time payment or multi-month blocks of sub), you pay for one month from X day to the day before the next X day; e.g. Jan 1 is your sub date then Feb 1 will be your next, then March 1, April 1, etc. So you technically pay the most "daily" to play in Feb and less "daily" for months that are 30 days and even less "daily" for months that are 31 days.Im not sure the way it is but do we pay for 30 actual days or 1 actual month? Could be out a day or two depending on the month?
Plus you should have cancelled your billing a long time ago.
If you apply an X day time card (I think these only exist in 30 and 60 days now, but at one point there was a 15 day card as well), you are paying for X days. You need to put another card in when X days comes up. You'll no longer have a sub on X day + 1. -
Yep. The majority of games out there don't use the City version of mouselook. Since City was the first game I 'dedicatedly' played, I have since been unable to play games that don't allow me to "fix" the mouselook direction. I am SO GLAD for saving options to disk and new characters utilizing those options by default. (Thank $dev for /optionsave /optionload!)

I think if they postpone it again, it's entirely likely that Zwillinger will go bananas and there will be smack laid down somewhere, on someone.
-
It's not the ending. It's a little over halfway.
Also: The OP didn't spoil it, Zwillinger/web team/devs did. On the launcher, on the website, in the two announcement forums. There are also (I think) four threads regarding it in General Discussion. -
Vanessa DeVore is the last in the First Ward contact line. It is a total anti-climax. I suspect we'll get more Praetorian content, maybe even enough to run a Praetorian from 1-50 without leaving Praetoria.

Yes, in theory. However, Beta has a higher likelihood of being completely different from Live than Test does. Beta gets the big changes first. New issues, new functions, new content, new purchasables, etc. Test gets them next, then Live (sometimes stuff gets applied to Test at the same time as Live!).

Clerical error month? Are you referring to the management page being in error? Because it's not. There are only two subscription states: either you're subscribed or you're not. If you're not subscribed, you're a free account, regardless of whether or not you've ever spent money. You're not spending money on a subscription; you have a free account.

Titan Network Forum. Diellan had life happen and couldn't get it out as soon as he wanted. It's currently in QA, hopefully to be officially released soon(tm).

Not a bug. The account data on the beta server is different than live. Just re-buy them on beta. Almost everything is either zero points, or you can "fake buy" a poop-ton of points (the billing server is not connected to beta, you should have a fake credit card on file there).

I have a character that's leveling up via DFB. Anytime I get a hankering for organized chaos, I jump on her and knock out a few. However, I have a very low tolerance for repetition, so I tend to only do 3-4 before getting tired of it.
I tend to not do DFB on low level characters because I outlevel stuff so fast. I want my accolade badges and I don't want to have to flashback for everything. -
Correct. Completing Tier 2 only requires 2 reward tokens, which any (non-buddy-code) account which subbed prior to Freedom will have, even if they only subbed for one month. One token for having an account, one token for a retail account. A buddy-code account (which can theoretically never have applied a retail code) would have had to sub for three months to qualify for two tokens (1 for having an account, 1 for vet reward badge). (Buddy codes were only available during Valentine's 2006, very limited.)

They removed the recruitment and events forums, too much clutter. Post in the appropriate server forum.

Sadly, at this point, I'll believe it after a downtime happens and coming out of the downtime means things are fixed. (As opposed to a) not getting a downtime at all, or b) getting a downtime but maintenance doesn't apply correctly.)

Quote:The OP specifically mentions "baby winter" and "lady winter" - both of which are standard door missions. Inside those missions, they operate as standard level 50 mobs.I'm not sure they are classified as a true Level 50 critter.
I think they use the scaling code used by the various Invasion mobs such as the Zombies in the Apocalypse and the Rikti during the Invasions. Most of what I've seen drop from those were Level 30 recipes. It didn't matter if I was on a Level 15 or a Level 50 or any other Level, the recipes dropped were always Level 30.
If they are only dropping Level 30 recipes, they won't drop a purple. -
Quote:You couldn't do paper missions as a hero (those are only for villains). You had to do three scanner missions to get your safeguard.Let's see... My Titan Weapon Brute is now level 32, and what she did was:
...
*Three paper missions and one Safeguard (I forgot what I wanted to do).
...
What I didn't do was:
...
*Any Scanner missions. Never had to.

Almost entirely story arcs. Occasional radio/paper/tip/SSA thrown in, but mostly story arcs.
I haven't done an iTrial since BAF and LAM were getting easy. I can rarely keep focused for long enough to do a task force, except the shorty ones, which are more like deeper story arcs than task forces. -
Quote:Villains and rogues get HERO SLAYER for defeating 25 [various] heroes. It isn't a hero badge, that's the point of my post. Villains get it by defeating 25 Mayhem mission heroes... or at least that's what I thought. Judging from some of the comments that might not be completely true.
Villains who then turn into heroes and vigilantes have the name of the badge changed to Bloody Hands. -
If you're currently on a story arc from them, you can still finish it. They'll refer you on to the next contact in the line (e.g. Kalinda still refers to Mongoose), but the second contact won't talk to you. You should get assigned a level-appropriate currently-active starting contact though, one or more of the new ones.

*sigh* I normally don't even care about spoilers (evidenced by the fact that I read the thread even though it was obviously a spoiler for the SSA), but this is huge. I don't know that I would have done this now. If you wanted to "pre-announce" it instead of announcing it the day it goes live, you could have waited until the Monday before the Tuesday it released. This way we have to live with it for at least two more weeks, stewing in our spoilerific disgruntlement. (I make words up.)

Quote:First Day of Winter - in 2011, it's Dec 22 (sorry, the solstice is Dec 21 and I always forget it's the DAY AFTER, not DAY OF). Sorry Charlie!Dec 21 or 22 depending on the year is MIDwinter not the start of it.
EDIT: I want to point out that this all stems from Forbin's comment about the winter event starting "in the winter, some time in December" - and rsclark's response that it will actually be in autumn. Going by the calendar, rsclark is more likely to be correct than Forbin.
