Quote:The Jingle Jet is the white, red, and green, sparkle-trailing jetpack you get during the Xmas event.ooOooOohhhh is that the rocklet pack that you get as a bank mission in KR? the one with wings? cuz THAT... i would pay for.

:edit: RAPTOR pack, that's what its called. :P

I don't know who you're talking to. The majority of players I know always make a point to do Faultline at-level because the rewards are pretty good and the visuals are good and the story is decent. (And John Hegner wasn't involved so no ambush mania.)
-
So let me get this straight. Instead of introducing the magic carpet as a customization option for the rocket board (because that's what it its), you sell it as a completely separate power, just because you can charge more for a separate power than you can for a customization option.
Just so you know, this is the reason I haven't bought the rocket board and will not buy the carpet and will not buy any other vanity travel powers. -
All the icons are on the lefthand side too, that's wacky.

I've bought the Beam Rifle powerset, and the Halloween and Barbarian costume bundles. I also got the TW weapon skins while it was free. I think that's all I've purchased. Of course, I have no purchase history because the PMarket interface sucks hairy monkey butt (seriously; whoever did that should be ashamed)...so I'm not 100% certain that's all I've gotten.
I'll probably get the New Year's pack before it disappears because I am amused by the aura and costume change emote, and because it's surprisingly well-priced.
I'm sitting on a bunch of earned points, but stuff in the PMarket is simply too expensive or too 'niche' for me to consider purchasing. -
I dropped a line in to Codewalker (maintains City of Data) to see if his data import is somehow buggered.

If you have two or more reward tokens, you should be able to send tells, join supergroups, etc.
You can Ask a Question as a Premium user, which will allow you to converse via email with support staff, which will show up in your petition history.
Alternately, Premium users can email support directly, but this will not show up in your petition history on the ask a question website: support@ncsoft.com -

There are ten. Six come with the purchase and four come with the weapon pack that was available for free for the few weeks after TW released, but is currently unavailable. It will return to the market at some unknown point in the future, for an unknown amount of points. -
I might have a few characters... ("Few" may be a SLIGHT undercount....
)
-
No, the game tracks the damage done per character until defeat/despawn/suicide...when on a team, all teammates' damage dealt is applied to each character - I have tested this by being on a team until just before defeat and quit team...still got the badge

Quote:This is awesome. I hope one of these fixes the issue. I've got a project for me tomorrow! Thank you very much, TJ.Found one of the posts, and it was for the same model.
Actually, it's two posts but one was quoting the other. One mentioned having to update the BIOS to be able to install the drivers. The other gave the steps that that person used to sucessfully fix their problem. Could be a combination of things with that model.
Some posts that I think were before Freedom launched mentioned an Asus model that wouldn't work with any driver other than the Asus drivers, but I'm failing on finding those posts. Forum purge may have gotten them?
EDIT: Found the older post I remembered. Sure enough, same laptop model.
Further posts in the thread elaborate on the poster having issues with the official ATI drivers (apparently a known problem on that laptop model) and that only the Asus drivers work right, but they wouldn't let them launch CoH using those drivers.
Hopefully this will help you find some type of resolution for your friend.
Or maybe, as the very last resort, a Windows reinstallation may be in order...but I know most people don't like to do that (I reinstall about once a year to keep all the crap down to a minimum - I'm not a typical user though) so I don't want to suggest that without exhausting my other options.
-
It says this error (first quote) regardless of which driver I'm using, including the generic windows automatic plug-and-pray driver.
This error is the reason that we started messing with new drivers, windows restore, etc., etc.
-
I am trouble shooting my friend's laptop, which I have brought home with me. When I launch City - either from the launcher or through a direct shortcut - it gives the following error:
Quote:However, he has updated his video cards twice, and *I* have updated his video cards FOUR times. Once just overwriting it without DriverSweepering, and once by uninstalling/safemode/DriverSweeper/restart/install. I have tried the drivers from the manufacturer (out of date) and the ATI website. An OpenGL driver for your video card " was not found.
The game will not run with your current configuration.
Please update your video card drivers blabbity blah blah.
In the device manager, the properties of his video card report this error:
Quote:Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

(I removed all the city config bits since none of them have to do with launching the game)
Incidentally, I also tried to use a really old restore point from when he was having no issues, but it results in the same error. I really hate to think the only way to fix this is a Windows reinstallation, but I'm wondering if that's all I've got left at this point. -

I would also suggest checking out the tanker forums.

/bind <key> "+$$targetcustomnext enemy alive slick$$powexecname blazing arrow"
The +$$ tells the game to parse the first command on keypress and the second command on keyrelease. Just take care to not hit the button too fast or the game will skip the target portion and go straight to the powexec. -
Red text is nearly invisible against the villain style (which has red background colors). Stop that.
(Thankfully I have a script that strips colors out of posts so I don't have to worry about trying to read red-on-red or neon colors.) -
Quote:Moving slot unlocks around WITHIN THE SAME SERVER isn't the OP's issue. The OP wants to move their Virtue slot unlocks to Liberty. This is not possible.Unless i'm misremembering when you drop to Premium you're granted a number of server slot unlock tokens and you decide which characters and/or empty slots you're going to unlock. If you're a long time player who had previously unlocked a lot of slots before going Premium it's rather unlikely you'd be able to unlock every slot on a server, so you'd have to choose then exactly which characters you want to play.
Moving slots around as a VIP wouldn't change that very much anyway. -
As long as you don't make any money from it, and the only thing YouTube makes money from is the ads they display on ALL their pages (or whatever other host you end up using), you can do pretty much anything.
If you want to make money off it, you can't use City videos. -
Sometimes the paragon market does not connect properly to the account database. Stuff you bought won't show as purchased. Logigng out and back in forces the market to reconnect to the account data and usually fixes it, usually the first time. Sometimes you have to shut down and wait a couple minutes and log back in because things seem to get stuck in the internet tubes.

Quote:Premium accounts are still F2P (free to play). The only accounts that are not F2P are VIP, which are P2P (pay to play).Yeah but as soon as they make the purchase they are no longer F2P accounts. They automatically get upgraded to Premium.
There are two account types: Free and VIP.
Free accounts have two sub types: Free (never ever spent any money on this account) and Premium (somehow spent money on this account - points purchase, past subscription, retail code, whatever). -
I ended up getting the 6790 from Amazon and can now have the entire game cranked up to Ultra Mode Maximum. However, I don't play that way because it starts heading toward almost cartoonish looking, so reflections and shadows are one step down. Bloom and Depth of Field are both off, but those were the first things I turned off in 2005 when I started playing and have never turned back on.
I can even play the game in a galaxy far, far away with all the settings at maximum, which I am pleased about. I couldn't even walk forward without stuttering, at about 2-10 fps.
But City looks beautiful again, as it should do. And I even had $20 leftover that can go to food and bills.
Thanks for the details, FXmas.
