  1. Check the detailed information of the enhancements. It will specify target or caster. If it says target, anyone can get the effect (e.g. Performance Shifter +End in Accelerated Metabolism); if it says caster, only you get it (e.g. LotG def/+rech in Maneuvres).

All of the alpha abilities also have a recipe for non-alpha-components. Scroll down in the creation window.

We'll just have to agree to disagree; it's beneficial to the community that they display community interaction.

(I removed a bunch of unnecessary color formatting.)

The event channel is a system channel, not a chat channel; they can't talk in it, so no, it wouldn't work.
  6. Yes. Any missions you had saved will be abandoned but you can pick them right back up again (so if you're saving an old farm map that's been changed since then, you'll lose the farm and then gain back the 'nerfed' map).
  7. City of Data ( http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/powers/ ) already contains this information, though it is currently obfuscated. The rewrite for the site hopefully will have easier access.

Regardless of that, 40% of scrapper primaries can't be paired with SD, which is alot.
And *I* will say it again. Your initial statement:

A new armor set is long overdue. The last was shield defense and you can't pair it with half the sets.
WAS NOT presented as an opinion, nor did it say anything about Scrappers or your dislike of a few of the powersets. Try to be more careful next time if you mean one thing but say something completely different.

Concept or not, those four listed are still viable choices with Shield Defense and just because you don't like them, doesn't mean you can discount them out of hand as viable choices *at all*. There are also two other archetypes that use Shield Defense, and Tanks/Brutes have four more powersets that are usable with Shield Defense, for a total of 13 powersets you can use with Shield Defense, and 6 you can't (one of which is not available yet, Staff, so really 5).

Your initial statement read like you were stating a game fact, when you were in fact stating a highly restricted opinion based on one archetype and what powersets you like.

Can't use: Claws, Spines, Dual Blades, Katana, Titan Weapons [and Staff Fighting]
Can use: Battle Axe, Broad Sword, Dark Melee, Electrical Melee, Energy Melee, Fiery Melee, Ice Melee, Kinetic Melee, Martial Arts, Stone Melee, Street Justice, Super Strength, War Mace
  10. Battle Axe and Broad Sword? "Wouldn't want to play with Shield Defense"? Really? Uhhhh, BA and BS are like half of the Shield Defense characters I see out there, LOL.
  11. No, by and large City is too graphically intense for any netbook. Especially if, as in your OP, you don't want to be on absolute minimum.

You'll have to wait a few years for netbooks to blossom.

  13. If you like build tweaking (and are on a Windows machine), install Mids' Hero Designer:

    !!!!!WARNING!!!!!

INSTALLING MIDS' MAY MAKE YOU SPEND ALL OF YOUR TIME PLAYING WITH POTENTIAL BUILDS INSTEAD OF PLAYING THE GAME!!!

Interfaces have a stacking cap, and it applies no matter who cast it. It's either four or five stacks, depending on the power. So...

This is why I plan on multiple Interfaces on all my characters, once they release the solo path (I am not a fan of most of the iTrials). If everyone has Reactive, slot something else.

I would like to point out that before Energize, I spent several years playing - and playing with - electric armor characters that never used any hit-and-run tactic.

My fiance hasn't even respec'd his Elec Armor Brute into Energize yet (she didn't have Conserve Power prior to the change) because she doesn't need it. She can stand toe to toe with pretty close to anything outside of an incarnate trial and not even bat an eyelash.

    LMAO. That is all.
  18. If it takes endmod enhancements (or is a player-cast incarnate ability, e.g. judgment), alpha agility functions for it. If it does not take endmod enhancements (e.g. lore pets), it doesn't not.
  19. "Crafter's Cafe" in the Mission Architect. (It might be slightly different name...but I'm almost 100% sure that's the name of it.)

I abuse the crap out of that mission...

Nope, it showed up alongside the launch of Freedom. The other games with micro transactions had/have their transactions in the standard purchase history (similar to CoH's stuff before Freedom) or on their own dedicated website.

I haven't bought anything from another game since Freedom launched, so I don't know if they now utilize that as well, but it did indeed show up with Freedom. I imagine Lineage II's F2P microtransactions show up there.
  21. If you're a few percent off of defense softcap, the guaranteed tohit debuff would be an interesting choice. Granted you wouldn't be softcapped to every critter, just those you hit with attacks, so you're not "truly softcapped"... but it'd be interesting. Outside of that, I don't see it being very helpful. Most powersets with a bunch of tohit debuffs can already floor a critter's tohit, and there are few powersets with "a bunch" of regeneration debuffs, and honestly that is resisted so much from the purple patch to be pretty useless except if you're fighting even level dudes.

  23. Anything you purchase/unlock, via reward tokens, paragon points, or in-game actions, stays unlocked.

Anything that isn't a specific purchase/unlock you lose. Since you "purchase" the VIP costumes, you keep them even when you are not VIP.

This includes Incarnate-related emotes and costume pieces too; if you have the Incarnate auras or whatever, you can use them even if you drop to premium and can't use the Incarnate system. You can't buy more (can't interact with the vendors), but anything you've already purchased/unlocked continues to unlock, even for new characters.
