It's all conspiracy of Big Pharma
And Nemesis plot, of course.

Thanks, I wouldn't ask about it either if not for the spawn bug
(actually there used to be a short sublot involving her, but it was cut because of the bug I didn't know how to fix back then. All that was left of the subplot is this cameo and I didn't want to cut her entirely.) -
QR
Thanks!
A few comments
1) Grammar. Working on that. Although being non-native, I {and the spellchecker} can do only so much. (lame excuse, I know.)
2) Second half ran out of steam, traitor subplot rushed... Pretty much yes, I planned to rewrite it, but The War On Spawn Bug took too much time and energy. Maybe in V3.
3) (almost) standard mobs. Yes, exactly for that reason. I was tempted to customize the final boss, but decided that guaranteed lowbie-soloability is more important.
Overall, - fair rating and useful review, 1000 thanks for the advice.
P.S. Did you see Amanda Vines in the middle floor of 2nd mish? (It's really an insignificant cameo, mish works withot her, but if she's affected by spawn bug, I want to know it.)
P.P.S. Legality of going to RI. It is illegal, but so would be half the things we do in published arcs, TBH, vigilantism act or no. And it rings true to the genre, good guys should act maveric from time to time. -
which is tiny link in the place no one is looking at. (big menu to the left and mish list steal all the attention) plus even if you go to that page, the list of missions is hidden by default and is titled just "missions" not "my missions" or something. No wonder people miss it.

There is/was one, but you only see it right after login. Menu item would be nice.

/unsigned.
A) Server populations here are low enough as they are.
B) Actually, MA and real game nicely complement each other.
1) Real content rewards speedrunners (MERITS) AE content is more for "WAAGH! Take no prisoners!" types.
2) Complimentary roll structure.
3) Easy to level/evaluate a specific build (eg one with delayed travel pool) and it's just plain nice that 20s have "their zone" now. (Sky/Steel/outer Faultline too easy, everything else too tough)
4) Markets are brimming with stuff again.
C) Atlas becoming the new farm central and exacrebated teaming issues aren't good. But. Let's face it, there ALWAYS was a problem of people sending "wanna join" tell w/o dertails, and people not using/reading search comments.
So, my suggestion would be to First, improve search/teaming tools. Second, make broadcasts inside the MA separate from ones outside. 3. Make AE buildings available only if you're in zone's level range. Disable horrid pointles auto-sk. -

oh and 3dent, give it a go with magnification now. Should be better.
[/ QUOTE ]
Works nicely unless someone's login has space in it, then magnifier (Opera's) wraps it, but doesn't increase row height. Other than that, usable up to 200% which should be enough for most -
So that French board would whine instead of us?
Guys, seriously, they even promised that EU event would be different from US one, which hardly qualifies as "not giving a damn". And as I understand unfortumnate down-timing this week is related to AE cross-server nature (and the fact that it touches more of the game than market servers do. ) and would be there even if NC and PS were all right in the middle of the UK. -

I think I've found a new bug... I use to have my 50s list in all my toons profiles, like this:
"@Defcon Kid, My 50s:
Defiant:
-asjasd
-alsdasld
-asdad
Union:
-asda
-asda"
etc... BUT... when I go to I.D., then my list suddenly changes to this other format:
"@Defcon Kid, My 50sefiant:-asjasd-alsdasld-asdadUnion:
-asda-asda"
I have tried several times re-write these lists, but it remains under this new format no matter how hard I try.

Not new.One of that text widget bugs, - you can't use newlines in mobs' bios, but since your bio and mob bio are edited by the same widget and no one reads bios anyway (kidding), newlines are deleted everywhere.
Temp workaround is to not to enter ID screen if you actually have a bio. -
Maybe it's my vidcvard but mob cossie editor looks funny if used in Faultline. Cossie preview dissplays colors as if affected by "sunset" effect.
-
Yea, a fee, small enough that you can afford it if you can afford the sub and big enough that you won't buy arcslots willy-nilly is a perfect solution. Another idea along those lines is some extremelly tough to get accolade...

Maybe readdition was... unintentional?

How are stacking acid traps and a -1000 regen weak?
[/ QUOTE ]
They aren't but they're "mines".
Haven't got my /traps MM to that point, but in a bang-bang, everything's dead, move to next room team there just isn't time to use powers like those -
Traps/A... Could be nice alternative to /dev blasters and TA/A. Although their main buff and their heal are a bit difficult to use in teams, and their attacks/debuffs are all either weak or "mines" of some sort...

Should be no need to republish - get one account to rerate so they switch between 4 and 5.
[/ QUOTE ]
There is. If rating doesn't change, how else would you know if it wasn't changed because of rating algorithm or bbecause of lag/some bug related to re-voting? (Making a 3rd step with everybody rating it 1 won't work, maybe it was just voting from 4 to 5 or voting by that player or phase of the Moon. With a freshly published arc you could be a bit less paranoid.) -
Why, it's easy to test, all we need is to get 4 people, one with unused MA slot. They set up a "guinea pig" arc, and rate it certain way, say, 5,4,4 should be 5 stars if it's rounding up and 4 if it's down or nearest int. if it's 4 then we remove the arc, republiish it and rate it 5,5,4 it would be 4 stars if rounding down and 5 if nearest.
Of course, it would work only if rating is based on arithmetic mean, but that's a rather good bet. -
I want a pony! More speecifically, ${"clue name"?"text a":"text b"} substitution, - if the player has a clue with "clue name" then "text a" else "text b". Would make use of non-required objectives much, much easier, I even agree that the entire expression should count towards the text length. Additional pony would be similar syntax for gender, side (blue/red) and AT.
And while I'm talking about ponies... Better objectives logic.
1) "Failure" objectives, that is mission fails if you complete them and succeeds if you fail them.
2) "And" and "or" operations for triggers. -
That stupid "Single Ally is auto-completed" bug would work, till they fix it. (I use it in that way in Goldbricked!, although to give a chat msg, not a clue.)
But since it's a minor exploit, don't rely on it too much. -

I'm only accepting one arc request per person ATM, so my list won't get completely enormous. (it still will, but hey...) Please edit your post to pick one arc.

Done. Sorry. -
Ok, let's give it a try...
Title: Goldbricked!
ID: 83859
Suggested Level Range: 10-20
Description: Gold Brickers decided to expand their operations into Paragon City. Can you stop them? Version 2.12 (not yet updated that bit on CoG)
Link to City of Guides entry: http://www.cityofguides.com/ma/view-mission.php?id=71
Notes: Nothing extreme, except Gold Brickers themselves with their -res, and one ss/regen boss which might be a problem for some ATs.
-
At this stage they can't be ruled out either
/tries to remember if the chat was logged. Slow Midgets Theory of MA Bugs has to be preserved!
-
Maybe. On the other hand, I had similar problem with an Arachnos boss (set him to "random" b/c Arachnos bosses come in 5 level increments, not 10 I needed. He too failed periodically.) So it might be something with the code that enforces level range. It selects a mob which is in range, but not for the current player, and some anti-hack code later in the pipeline removes it...
On the still other hand never seen a random Gold bricker to fail, although it ought to, if the above wild guess is correct.
And on yet still other hand, that may depend on the way level ranges of different mobs overlap, so that GB were immune in my arc, but PPD and Arachnos weren't -
I think I've figured (part of) it out, as I told in the chat last night. As PRAF68 suspected, it's definitely hostage mobs themselves.
A. When a hostage actually fails to spawn, his guards do. They use the emote, they speak their lines, but they don't guard anyone, not even an invisible source of chat bubbles.
B. I tried to change PPD to a custom group, - no failures in dozen tries.
i haven't got time, and didn't want to butcher a published arc too much, so I don't know yet whether it's because of random mobs, random PPD mobs, all PPD mobs, one specific PPD mob, or something else. -
Seen this couple of times, mostly exactly as in OP's case, - inactive boss intermittently forgets $name and $pronouns.
Unlike with patrols, where it isn't working by design, it works most of the time.
