True, true. But some patches are on Test for less than a week. And if you're away for two weeks...

And a Dev decision (or accident) to add level 53 IOs can wipe out your billions. Or, a Dev decision (or accident) to remove the level 53 IOs completely from the database can also cause you to lose billions, and most likely corrupt your toon (it's happened).

And they'd be no recourse to get the billions back if you're not using the game as intended, and the usual arguments in these cases that if you can do it, then it's supported, will still fail to hold water.

It's hardly ever worth putting extra slots in Swift and Swift-clones. The second slot give you an extra 1.7 mph. And the third slot less because of ED.

By definition if a group of "7 other lvl 24 heroes" are doing a Scanner mission in PI, the level 50 leader MUST also be the mission owner. So what he said was accurate.

I stand by my correction which was to correct this statement...

Imagine you team up with 7 other lvl 24 heroes to do radio missions. If one of them leads you get exemped down (without all your powers after 29). You also run the radios in Steel or IP. In the pre-SSK days, this is how you would have to do it. But now if you lead, everyone SK's up to 49.
If one of the level 27s leads, that does not mean they have to do missions in Steel or IP because the level 27 leader can chose the level 50's mission in PI. Additionally, the OP can also chose to retain leadership and do those Steel/IP radio missions anyway.

We all know what's the intent behind the advice, I was just clarifying that if the OP is willing to exemplar, there is that option now while retaining leadership since SSK goes by the level of mission owner, not team leader for instanced missions.

That last quoted sentence should have been: "But now, you can chose your mission or theirs and still get Influence and everyone is auto-sidekick to the mission's anchor and you don't have to give up leadership of the group. Although, it would be better loot for you to choose your own level 50 missions."

Besides the methods mentioned above to see your frontside, you can also start Walk and then walk backwards. Your toon will actually turn around and face the camera.

But now if you lead, everyone SK's up to 49. You run the radios in Peregrine. You get lvl 50 common recipe drops (worth FAR FAR more than lvl 25 common drops) and you get the chance of PURPLES. Win for everyone.
    Ummm... no.

You're confusing leading with owning the mission.

A level 50 can lead, chose the mission of a level 35 teammate, and then do that mission while still leading. Everyone gets auto-sidekicked to level 35 when they enter the mission.

Whether the OP would want to exemplar down is a different issue, but he can exemplar down and still have the star.

This was very noticeable in a mission inside of a cave.

I think it is starting the fall animation right away and without the shield there is a slight delay before the animation starts to play.
BAB tweeted he's working on that.

    Here's your one-click toggle:

    /macro Walk "powexecname walk$$powexecname sprint"
  10. The fact that it's actually happening would ordinarily supersede the barrier of reasonable doubt for reasonable people of sound mind.

Seriously, both WALK and NINJA RUN have this strange bug where, if you switch builds, NEITHER will activate for 15 minutes.
I tested that and it's true if you haven't leveled up your second build, because level 1 toons don't have access to those powers. Once I started leveling up the second build, Walk kicked in at level 2 and NR at 4, just like they're supposed to.

I then switched to a toon that had both builds leveled up to 50 and when I switched builds, there was no suppression of Walk or NR.

So, this is a case that if you want to press the point that this is a bug for your toon, then you gotta post the pics to show that your leveled-up second build indeed has suppressed Walk and NR.

I already use that all the time (when you use Prestige Sprint Power Slide with Super Speed it becomes Super Speed Slide).

However, the Slide was from a pay-for Collector's Edition. And the Devs are on record that anything that was a pay-for will never be free (the entirety of City of Villains notwithstanding).

They should bundle the goodies from the two CEs into a $5 Items Pack, but we've been throwing that suggestion at their brick studio walls for years and it hasn't stuck.

I guess the Devs hate money.

On top of that, we have military costumes with military guns (guns are not powers), and archery (which ninjas also use).

Can we please get more powers and costumes more related to Super Heroes? Maybe the ability to change my fire/kin into living fire form.
This is the silliest thing I've seen in a while.

The number of costumes that are not ninja-ey is freakin' huge compared to costumes that actually are ninja-ey.

That's a fact. And you're purposely ignoring it.

And if you doubt what I saying, then prove your point. Go into the costume screen and count up every costume part noting how many are ninja-ey and how many are not.

Go ahead, we'll wait. Until then, you don't have a leg to stand on.

If JumpSpeed is actually AscentSpeed and I jump straight up and down and a higher AscentSpeed shoots me up faster (something I've never noticed), then when I press Forward, what variable is that?

You can get the same effect with the GvE booster pack. It allows for continuous forward or backward flips over a significant distance.

That kerfuffle was because the Gladiator shoulder had been in the game forever and was a low-resolution model. Then came the Imperious Strask Force with the unlockable high-resolution gladiator/roman pieces.

Well, there was no Gladiator shoulder piece to be unlocked because it already existed in the game. However, it really didn't 'go' with the hi-rez pieces. So, Jlove or Keetsie re-did the shoulder to be hi-rez so it 'goes' with the other pieces.

However, players have used that shoulder piece for years, and now the hi-rez version sticks out like a sore thumb mixed with other legacy pieces.

And this is why we players need to put up a united front: Rather than lobby for our own personal pieces and peeves, we should all be asking for all costume pieces to be revamped so they all have the same set of textures (such as cloth, shiny cloth, worn metal, polished metal, reflective, matte leather, shiny leather, etc...) in the same resolution. That would do a hundred times more good for the costuming than any new free costume set.
  18. StarGeek's on track!

When you defeat a foe there are several random rolls on several reward tables that happen *if* the foe 'cons' green to you or better. (See the Wiki on 'conning'.) Even though for some grey foes a few levels under you will still give some XP, they won't drop any 'loot' if they con grey.

If the foe cons green or better, then its level doesn't effect the reward roll. A minion two levels under you has the same chance to drop the same loot as if that minion were two level higher than you.

While level doesn't matter (if they're green or higher), *rank* does. A lieutenant has a greater chance to drop loot than a minion. A boss more so than a lieutenant.

If your not eligible for one of those tables (for example, your inspiration tray is full), you'll still get a chance to roll on all the other tables.

How many reward tables are rolled on a single foe defeat? At least as many as five.
  19. Last year, they made it so turning in Halloween costume salvage for the extra costume slot had a chance to trigger the Zombie Apocalypse. Now, doing so has a chance to trigger either the Zombalypse or the Deadly Apocalypse (which some people are starting to call 'Supernatural' since the zone event message says 'Supernatural Activity dectected in X zone...').

  24. Still waiting for an Items Pack: Discontinued Collectors' Edition Goodies.

Then I'd like to see a Super Booster Pack: Super Travels which contain underground travel and swinging (yeah, I know, copying goes both ways) and surfing (with customizable items to surf such as skateboards, surfboards, or manhole covers).
