Also, sitting back farther from the monitor also helps.
On Virtue, I have a toon parked at the top of the advanced slope auto-casting Inertial Reduction (about once every 40 seconds, it's an AoE buff). Look for "Speed Skater." Transfer your toon there and take advantage of having IR every run.
Also, after a few runs, take a break. Get up, walk around, look into the distance out your window.
Also, keep trying for about a half hour every day. Sleeping on it improves muscle memory and performance. -
Character transfers should only be 5 minutes, either to the Test Server or Live to Live.
If it's taking more than.... I'll generously give them 2 hours, I'd open up a support ticket with Customer Support.
That is, until we here reports back from players using CS or from one of the Mods that there is indeed a backup. -

Just thought why jump powers which reduce MovementFriction and boost MovementControl help on the courses:
When you fall, jump powers allow you to laterally 'slide' left and right as you fall. Well, they also let you slide forward and backward laterally.
So, as you're falling/sliding down the course, keeping the +Forward button pressed is a lateral falling movement which the jump powers augment.
And that's also why RunSpeed boosts contribute only slightly to the slopes: You're not moving forward, you're falling forward. -

In trying to rescue the longbows one of the lieutanants has that sword that they all use and I have full life with my TechScrapper I believe it was.
Had him within an inch of his life and with one swipe, even though I did hit him, I am the one dead on the floor. That does not make sense when I have taken multiple hits previously.
Thinking it must be a bug in the system or a fluke but wanted to make you aware of the situation. -
I wish it was untargetable, it keeps getting in the way of clicking on my Phantasm or team mates to buff them.

Expert Course (Down Hill Skiing)
If you memorize the course and run it perfectly (no mistakes), you can get gold with just Sprint. Although, there's enough flatness in some parts that RunSpeed makes a little bit of a difference. It is (relatively) very easy to get gold on the Expert Course with Ninja Run.
Advance Course (Luge/Bobsled/Toboggan/Skelton Track)
If you have your RunSpeed capped (Super Speed and/or Speed Boost) and you do not have a 'jump' power, then you won't get gold. Doing 'perfect' runs without a jump power meant I kept hitting a 53 second time I couldn't shave down any further.
I then tried it with Ninja Run + Sprint + Accelerate Metabolism + Empowerment Jump and Run buffs and still hit the 53 second limit on perfect runs.
RunSpeed does make a difference, but it's not enough for the gold.
When I got an Inertial Reduction buff, three tries later, I got the gold. People have reported getting gold on the Advanced course with just Sprint + IR.
So, IOW, MovementFriction is essential. Sliding down slope is falling and MovementFriction lets you fall faster. I don't know if Ninja Run has MovementFriction, but Combat Jumping, SuperJump, and Inertial Reducation definitely do. The MovementControl of all the jump powers help with turning and strafing while sliding/falling, but the jump powers with MovementFriction are the ones that will allow you to gold on the Advanced Course.
On Virtue, I have a Kin Defender parked at the top of the Advanced Course auto-firing IR every 40 seconds approximately in Pocket-D1. I've received a lot of tells thanking me from people who got the gold.
I'll take Candy Canes as tips.

Tell pohsyb you want a command that keeps the client open and also opens a specific web page.
Or... copypasta the FAQ info into one of the /help menus.
Or... put the info in the opening contact of a MA arc and make the contact an in-game instructor, and have the GMOTD tell us the arc number to check out.
Or... put a tinyurl in the GMOTD that points to the FAQ that's easy enough for us to copypasta or retype into a browser. -

English is constantly taking nouns and using them as verbs and vice versa.
I would grant your complaint if there already is a verb analogue of a noun which is ignored for an unnecessary neologism, but 'to gift' is different than 'to give' since it implies that what is being given is a gift or gratuity and not something that is owed or demanded. One might use 'tip' (both a noun *and* a verb!), but is more commonly reserved for those in a service industry rather than a one-time gift for a favor from a stranger.
If you doubt 'gift' is a verb in common usage, over 5 million Google hits on 'gifting' might change your mind. -

Such exchanges are arranged in the Market forum. Also, their risky if the other player doesn't come through on their end. There's no recourse if they steal from you. -
