Spidey's original is a classic. It's really one of my favourite costumes ever.

This is horrible.

I have been doing a lot of tip missions, too. Since my post on the 12th (8 days ago) I have received 1 shard and that was from a CoT in the Portal Corp parking lot. At this rate I will need something like 40 weeks to get my uncommon.

And now the next tiers are due to open up. I am sad.

Well, that would just lead to the usual "do you really think they'd admit the truth and cause widespread panic?"

I dunno... having Reed Richards look at some of his work, shake his head in amazement and then basically say "wow, this guy is gifted... he could have had an incredible scientific career" (paraphrased because it was so long ago I forget the real quote) kind of makes me think he's up there with the top minds in Marvel. I mean, if Mr Fantastic is impressed with your work, it's good...

I also tend to think of a real life example of brilliant teens from a few years ago, when a highschool girl took first prize at a science fair and one of the sponsors basically said "wow, she managed to do at home what our top scientists have been trying to do in the lab for years..." (I really need to uncover that article again to quote it properly, but it was very close to that). So, I can accept Peter creating web-shooters.

As a Canadian with the misfortune of having been born in Quebec, all I can say is "yes".

This. Big time. Plus, he's Canadian, which is an automatic +10 cool points.

I loved Wolverine when he came out. He is the reason I started reading X-Men, which in turn had me start picking up all the other comics I eventually started collecting. I really hate what the character has become over the years.

Anyhow, I have only watched the first part of episode one. Is this an adaptation of the original miniseries? Given that they show Asano and Yashida Shingen, I am assuming so.

While watching Iron Man, I kept thinking "this makes no sense... if they have to do a series set in Japan, it should be Wolverine, not Iron Man...", so this suits me fine. I kept thinking Iron Man would have been better if they'd hired an American actor who could speak some Japanese to play Tony, although I did like in one early episode where he paused and commented "I'm trying to think of how to say this in Japanese..." even though he'd shown himself to be perfectly fluent up until then.

I am still hoping for decent looking human feet for a couple of characters who go barefoot. I'm really not thrilled with the boots-with-toes-painted-on look.

Animal heads will be cool, but I still want more ethnic faces, to better portray characters from different nationalities.

That was my first thought, too.

Another thing that I find somewhat intersting is that while this tech is not availale to the average joe on the street, it is available to all the Hellions, Skulls, Outcasts, Trolls, etc., etc, etc. in the city. It was (I think) Positron (the dev, not the character) who explained that we're not really killing villains when we "arrest them with bullets, swords and fireballs", because they are ported to the Zigg's medical facilities when they are overcome. So the idea that the system can't handle several dozen civilian transports per day is crazy, given that it handles seemingly thousands of arrests per day.

Well, that was fast, lol.

*Peter Parker gets married, then unmarried.
*He switches to a black costume (giving a nice speech to explain the change, his process of maturing and why it's time to retire the red'n'blues) then drops it to go back to the original.
*He becomes friends with Flash, then Flash explains "hey, we were never really friends" (despite several years showing them as friends-- I have no idea where things stand with this now).
*Harry is good, then bad, then good, then dead, then alive then bad (again, I have no idea regarding his current status).
*Norman is dead then alive, then dead, then alive.
*Aunt May is dead, then alive.
*Peter and Mary Jane have a daughter, who then is kidnapped. Now I think she is dead, or she simply had a Mike Douglas kiss-off (points if you get the reference)
*Ben Reilly shows up and is revealed to be the real Peter, but then he isn't. (My views on this were that Marvel had watched Spidey get darker and darker over the years and wanted to have him go back to his lighther, fun self from the past, so Ben was going to be the real Peter without any of the past years' traumas, but fans rejected that. So instead we got OMD.)

I use Spidey as an example because I know him better than the FF, but there are literally hundreds of examples of how Marvel doesn't want anything to change, so these announcements are some of the biggest heaps of bs...

Every time I find myself missing comics and debating whether or not to start collecting again, we get crap like this, which just serves to push me further away.

I couldn't remember the name, though, so I was searching with DC, heroes, and rpg. As I said, the only results coming up were for the older games.
